I'll wait till we see a better source.

I think this is just common sense, which is why "sources" like this can seem "credible".  The Celtics have wanted Dooling back (which is why they didn't give Melo his jersey number), and backup point guard is the last piece of the remaining puzzle.

This. Though I also denied that big sexy's twitter was correct about Courtney Lee and like an hour later it became official so I'm not denying anything anymore

Big Sexy is awesome.

Big Sexy was a good source, he is Lee's cousin.  The anonymous posters citing anonymous sources are not good sources, because they don't reveal their links.

Yeah!  I love Dooling.  That's my boy! ;D

is this the same guy that said Ray Allen was definitely coming back?

doesn't really matter, if Dooling comes back, fine - if not, fine

we know that the team wouldn't give out his number to the rookies so there's at least a plan to leave the door open for him

I guess we'll see.

According to the Realgm User Jeff23, Keyon is going to come back for the veterans minimum.

Now before you criticize this guy because he could be just another user trying to stir up our hearts for nothing (like the vin baker guy who said Ray was coming back), I must tell you I've read this guy's posts before on realgm, and his "sources" have been correct before.

-He stated that Jeff Green wasn't getting 4/40 when it was reprted that Green was. In fact, he even said the figures were around 4/36, which were right on the mark. Or atleast they were right because he stated this before it had come out that Green had verbally agreed to a deal of 4 years, $36 million. We won't know what the details are now because Green's deal is apparently being delayed for some reason.

-He also stated Chris Wilcox was coming back for the veterans minimum days before Wilcox's deal was announced by the media.

Overall, this guy seems legit. And I couldn't be happier Keyon's going to be back to be our fifth guard. He's a great locker room presence and he brings defensive tenacity that this team likes. Now to fill out the last spot (which isn't going to be Christmas or Smith, no championship contender has 4 rookies. That being said I do hope Christmas finds a nice home in the league).

Peaches is who I want but he;s unrealistic because he's too good to just be a failsafe option in case this team has injuries. Marquis Daniels would be more realistic.
why would u say Christmas has no shot to make da team then clamor for Marquis Daniels? lol ima go out on da limb nd say Christmas WILL play spot minutes in da rotation nd im almost guarenteeing he'll make da team his ability to get to the line nd versatility will be used its no point for Quis when we have Christmas
this forum is like Doc gives young guys no shot whatsoever
Christmas showed versatility in da summer league i kno most of these posters look down on dat but its players like Jeremy Lin, Gary Neal, Wes Matthews dat was undrafted but played so well in da summer league they got rotation minutes. u shouldnt rule him out makin dis team nd have an impact he's efficient nd has good defensive energy

We signed up Pietrus last year to replace Jeff Green. Let's not forget that. It will be problematic to get Pietrus playing time at the two or three spot this year. He is a rotation player but I am beginning to think he might not be brought back.

I like the idea of Keyon Dooling coming back here to back up Rondo and Terry. Sounds like he could become a folk hero like Scalabrine was.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

just read this too from Flannery, I guess it was a necessity, I would have preferred Delonte back but we need to keep the BAE in case someone intresting gets cut or amnestied down the line

Good signing by the C's.  Dooling is exactly the type of character guy you want around this team to help set the example.  He was a leader in the locker room last year and he never made a peep all season as he struggled to crack the rotation over more inexperienced players.  That tells me he just wants the team to succeed.  Plus he apparently is one of the few players on the team that Rondo will seek advice from and listen to.  I like it.  This was an UBUNTU move.

No qualms with this.  It took awhile last season but he warmed up to me by the end.  Good to have him back.
