I'm pretty sure Danny had bigger fish to fry first than Dooling. You know, like drafting guys who will likely play bigger roles on the team with time (Sullinger, Melo, Joseph), bringing back our core (KG, Bass, Green, Wilcox), and adding role players who will most definitely help the team now (Terry, Lee, Collins). I think adding all of those guys to our roster was a little more important than re-signing a back-up point guard.
And Dooling more likely than not is coming back. He is one of the best locker room presences in the league and he loves being a Celtic. His tenacious defense is something this team loves and he feels a connection with these guys. I would honestly be very surprised if he isn't brought back.
Now Mickael Pietrus on the other hand, that might be someone who probably won't come back, even if we still do have the BAE.
