I don't think that's necessarily true.  Keyon's a guy who is not going to be among the most sought after free agents who everybody is scrambling to sign.  He's more likely to be that guy who is still available for the minimum when rosters are nearing completion.

I think he's still in the mix.

Who got you going tonight? Yeesh. He'll still be around by mid-August, and I still expect us to pick him up. We need another PG.

Much rather add another big as we run out of money, but if Collins is the last I wouldn't mind Dooling for the minimum. Good locker room guy, knows the system, can hit shots and defend.

Still, with the 4 guys we already have at G, I want as many bigs as possible.

Anderson/Darko please.

I have to agree with the masses here.  KD will be available probably at whatever point we give him a call if it happens.

I wouldn't mind him being back for a min deal.  He actually gave us good energy off the bench in his playoff minutes.  He seemed like a good glue guy.  Between him and Xmas I am not sure who would be better honestly.

if we wanted him back, he would have been signed by now.

Agree, Dooling (along with Pietrus) will likely be around for a while, and KD will only get the minimum.   I think the brass is just waiting for all the other pieces to fall into place....we're getting close now.

I wouldn't mind him back, though wish he shot better.  I do wonder if we are considering yet another episode with Delonte....

If anything he could be useful in a sign and trade.  Don't we have his Bird rights?  Wasn't he around $4 mil last year?  Maybe we could pick up a $5 mil guy.

I think we can only give Dools like 2.5m....
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Dooling wasn't a priority, but that doesn't mean he won't return.  As was mentioned, they may have held off on him a bit in case they needed him in a S&T, but since we seem to be set in that regard now I wouldn't be surprised to see him come back.  He wasn't great for most of the season, but he'd be coming back to provide depth and some mentorship to Rondo (he seems like one of the only guys Rondo listens to).

Most of the backup PG duties will be handled by JET and AB, but we could still use someone else on the bench (especially with Moore gone), and we don't have much money left to spend.

But, the fact that he hasn't re-signed yet, it's still only mid-July.  I wouldn't over-interpret that.

^THIS^

I'm pretty sure Dooling will be back, because we need an option at PG other than Rondo and the Jet.  Dooling won't see any major minutes but if someone goes down (like Avery already has) and we have to shuffle our guards around (forcing Jet to play more minutes at the 2) we really need another guy who can handle the ball.
