Agreed.

Its like Lester Hudson all over again. People get REALLY attached to these fringe players and can't let go.

This really isn't the same situation as Ilgaskus and Stackhouse so I'm not sure it applies as some reporters have suggested.  E'Twan Moore isn't being bought out, his contract is ending.  A player whose contract expires should be free to sign wherever he wants.  I can't find a real "rule" about it anywhere though.  If I were Moore I'd file a claim with the player's association.
The rule is in the trade rules, and its definitely in the CBA. Once a team has traded away a player they cannot reacquire him till the next season.

Some people sound as if Houston waiving Moore is them passing up having the black Jeremy Lin to back up the real Jeremy Lin.

I predict a roster invite from another team which makes him one of the last cuts and he goes to the D-League.  It's up to him if he can earn a mid-season call-up.

Didn't Lester Hudson have a pretty good year last year for someone... Cavs maybe?

just to help put celtic fringe players in a context....

last year hudson played 16 nba games, 13 with cleveland and 3 with memphis.

in those games, hudson averaged for cleveland / memphis....

minutes 24 / 6:30
points   12.7 / 3
assists   2.7 / 0.3
FG %      39.1 / 27.3

so, for cleveland hudson played credibly at least. worth nothing is that he did manage a 3 game stretch with 23+ points each game. not bad at all. i wish him luck.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Johnson has no leverage at all.  He's probably pretty shocked/hurt by being traded, but he has three months to get over it, and he would be wise to, since the Rockets apparently want him.

Reports say they're going to waive him the moment they sign him...

I hope they keep him and I wish him the best. He has one of the bigger hearts in the league. Hope to god he does not sign with the cHeat.

E'twuan Moore has one of the biggest hearts in the league? are you kidding me? what a joke

This is hilarious. He's lucky to even be in the league and he's making demands.
