Adam Silver and David Stern held a meeting with the board of Governors and they agreed to have a 2" x 2" space on the uniform right above the heart where the NBA logo is now sold to advertisers. Teams may elect to have ads or not but this is the wedge they're trying to create to get us fans used to the idea that ads on uniforms are a good thing. This will garner $100 million revenue for the league. Oh and in September they'll have a meeting to address the flopping. Glad to see they have their priorities in order.
Want a Burger King logo on the Celtics uniform? If not, PLEASE contact the league and let your voice be heard. I just emailed them (nicely or else they'll just delete it) stating that the uniform is a sacred piece of NBA history, et cetera.

SAY, “NO UNIFORM ADS!” And if the ads will make you less likely to buy a retail jersey, be sure to tell them that too.
The NBA, where creating even more profit even while the league is flourishing happens.
