What picks does Cleveland have left now? In the 6th to 9th rounds particularly.
Quote
Cleveland Derps:

Bogut
Harrison Barnes /Thad Young / A. Randolph
Kyrie  / MKG / B. Rush

7.12, 9.12, 11.1, 11.23, 12.15 13.1

7.12 and 9.12 -- should get a good rotation player at 7.12 and have a chance at one at 9.12. Likely looking at third string quality players in the final five picks.

That would leave them with

C: Bogut
PF: Thaddeus Young
SF: Michael Kidd-Gilchrest, Harrison Barnes
SG: Brandon Rush, (Harrison Barnes)
PG: Kyrie Irving

A backup PG and backup big man with the two picks. A tight eight man rotation. Those picks still give Cleveland a good chance of finishing out their rotation and building a solid bench.

Might be worth going 9 deep if it needs be. Usually a lot of good options at PF later in the draft.

Thanks for the insight Who. The solid three man wing rotation that Cleveland highly paid for is worth it.

Yeah, I think Brandon Rush is an excellent fit at SG/SF alongside MKG and Barnes.

An above average defender/rebounder and high level perimeter shooter. A low usage player who knows his job, does it well and won't get in the way of your young wing's growth (player development).

Barnes gives you a very good scorer and should be a good defender/rebounder. MKG's ceiling could be somewhere in between Luol Deng type and a Scottie Pippen type.

I like those three guys will interact together on the court. Very good balance.

Trade Announced:

Cleveland Cavs: Anthony Randolph 7.11, 8.5, 8.18
Boston Celtics: 5.23 (Brandon Rush please), 11.23, 12.15

I hate this trade.

Terrible, man.  Giving up that many picks -- and a more highly picked player -- for Brandon Rush is just murder for your team.

If I can give some constructive criticism, I'd say that maybe you're a bit too trigger happy.  Maybe get a co-GM next season to discuss some deals before you pull the trigger?  Heck, if you want some advice before making so of these deals, I'm happy to give you tips.

My feelings on the trade aside (think you prob. overpaid, though with 2 7ths and 2 8ths you could afford to more than most), the most important thing is to have fun, Yoki.

The Angry Pickles have built some "interesting" teams in the past, but never stopped dreamin'....

Its easier to argue for a team you like, for players you like.

But Roy's right too...it's easy to get caught up in the excitement (i do/have) so bouncing ideas off a co-GM or having a list made out before each round, etc. avoids the "OOOH... Player X" factor.

Anthony Randolph on the block. Not asking for a lot. Could be helpful for teams in need of a ball handling four man or those going for team of the future.

I understand but I believe it's not a bad trade at all, although I did pay too high.

I wanted Rush, I think he's a really perfect fit more my wings and I'm pretty sure he won't last until the 7th round. I pad a high price, but guys I like my wing rotation. Offense, defense, youth, shooting and rebounding.

I still have a 7th and a 9th to work with. It's not like I won't pick for four straight rounds. I do understand the trigger happy thing. Part of it is from the comments wether or not the pick is bad or good, ending up panicking truinf to fix the team when theres no need for it. That's one aspect of the game newbies like me needs to learn.

Yoki I doubt people are down on you for what you did to your team. You got better. I think it's more that you helped a team - with cornerstones like Kevin Durant and Andrew Bynum - gain some much needed ammunition to finish off their rotation.
