Elton Brand finished in the top 15 among all players in post defense and pick-and-roll defense.  For the stats heads, is there any other player that can say that?

(Is this the worst photoshop ever, or what?)

no believe me i've seen worse PSing from my students....

And I'd suggest Defensive Player of the Year Tyson Chandler fits that bill but honestly I don't know where to find top 15 rankings of such things. :P :D

Was he hurt in the playoffs?

He injured his neck late in the first round.  He played through it, but it wasn't until late in the series against the Celtics that he looked like himself.

I just remember him not playing very much in the first few games.

As we tick down toward 10am, I'll throw this one out there:

In the "real" NBA, could Lebron play PF full time, especially if he had a defensive big man next to him capable of taking the defensive assignment on the other team's best big?

Until last year, I would have said no.  After seeing how dominant he was at the position, though -- a 37.1 PER, and he played 24% of Miami's total minutes there -- and seeing him kill us in the playoffs at that position, I think he could.

No.... in fact I'm not sure if he'll really make it in the league. "Flash in the pan" comes to mind.... :D

Yes, he absolutely could and he'd excel. And while I've kinda tooted my own team as a joke before, the only real instances where I think he'd have some trouble would be against tall guys w/ range like Nowitzki, Garnett, Bosh, LMA. But I still think he'd defend them better than your average defensive power forward.

We're waiting for Mr. Saad.

The board is officially open, though.
