Trade:

Phoenix Suns trade: Rudy Gay and 9.11
Detroit Pistons trade: Joakim Noah and 9.22

How come it cost me a wheel barrel of gold and my first born for Rudy Gay but just Noah for the Pistons?

j/k, good trade both ways

Sorry SO. Center position is watered down at this point in the draft.  hahaha

maybe this should be 9.15? Or it could be that I missed a deal where PHO got 9.11 from ORL

Dallas selects Elton Brand.

And yeah, he's probably going to defend a lot of centers.

You jealously hold your 3 'four-fives' while the likes of Nikola Pekovic and Andersen Varejao to jet-setting around the world to find a home.

You're like a person who goes to the pound the first day a new litter of St. Bernards is eligible to be adopted, and pick out the cutest ones, even though you have no kids for them to play with and are just gonna dress them up in mini people clothes.

For a moment, the room is quiet. Roy Hobbs stands, unconcerned that every eye is upon him, and without looking up, casually twists his neck left and right, at an angle, cracking it audibly once on each side, the sound almost deafening in the silent room. The crowd sits in equal parts abject horror and fevered anticipation, waiting to see what will happen next. Roy Hobbs extends his hands suddenly, palms facing outward, as if a magician revealing a trick, and a knowing smile crosses his lips.

Are you planning on starting Brand at center?

Or using as a backup PF/C with a lot of minutes coming at center?

Danny Granger, Elton Brand and LeBron. All around 6-8 (LeBron 6-9). It would be pretty sweet if Dallas made a team solely out of 6-7 to 6-9 guys.

Trade Lowry and move LeBron to PG. Draft a big two guard. Granger at SF. Add a PF to play alongside Brand. Or even a SF and move Granger to PF.

That could be really fun. I've got a couple of different variations in mind. That would be a lot of fun.

Edit: Finding the right bench players would be difficult.

Or you could go the opposite way and draft specialists who fit their position / skill-set perfectly and offer you the ability to matchup like with like as you wish. But if sticking with the 6-7/6-9 guy thing ... finding another guy who can play PG while LeBron rests would be tricky. So would finding another guy who can play center and give shot-blocking when LeBron rests. The SG/SF/PF positions should be straight forward enough.

Okay, got four guys in mind for the center spot but the best I can do is 6-5/6-6 guys for the PG minutes behind LeBron. Maybe one of those strong ball-handling / passing power forwards. With some ball-handling wings and another another good on the ball PF alongside him. Maybe.

Update: Got a 6-8 ball-handler in mind who could play backup PG. He won't be able to defend the position though. Needs an uber-athletic wing who can cover PGs defensively alongside him.

"HE'S SO VERSATILE!!!" Roy exclaimed, as he watched LeBron James not only at times play all 5 positions during the scrimmage, but also fully cater and serve the team to a non-traditional menu of classic southern cooking using a set of recipes LeBron himself concocted which will be compiled into a cook book being published next month called 'A New Soul, A Healthy Soul: Cook With Bron (Forward by Martha Stewart and Bobby Flay)'. After dinner, LeBron served cocktails (a Swoosh-tini, once again his own concoction) and showed his teammates a film he wrote, directed, shot, edited, and starred in himself called "I Am Everyone", co-starring James Franco.
