Can we get Moore back, in a few months, if Houston cuts him? I know theres that Gary Payton rule, but we've got months until training camp.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Never mind, I googled it. Looks like he can come back in 20 days. I hope so.

In the NBA where only 5 players play at a time and 8-9 players make a playoff rotation, quality always trumps quantity.  In football, baseball, and hockey there are exceptions to the rule.

The Celtics definitely got quality over quantity.

Moore and Williams weren't even locks to make the team.  Johnson is nice, but likely will never be more than a taller Brandon Bass, which is nice, but not irreplaceable.

I do think we didn't need a SG as much as some thought; however, Lee is a quality player.

Let's look at it this way EVEN if we did overpay (we didn't)... we had to do it because Hous didn't have to help us! They could have let him walk and/or traded with another team who had interest! We grease their palm, they greased ours! Thank you Hous!

With that said...

I will miss Moore, I absolutely love the kid and made it known every game day in the chat room! Good luck Moore (the other guys), we appreciated your effort!

It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I think that rule was again changed b/c of Zedrunas Il (I'll stop trying there lol)...

I think a player can't come back until the next season now... I think they call it the "Big Z rule" LOL!

The Celtics got the better end of this trade.  If McHale knew he was going to lose Lee and getting a 2nd round pick was the best he could do, then at least he got something out of him.  Otherwise, Danny has taken Kevin behind the woodshed shed and violated him yet once again.

Kevin's only the coach this time, not the GM this is all about Daryl Morey trying to stack picks and young players for a trade for Dwight Howard that will probably never happen.

I'm a bit disappointed to lose the Charlotte pick, but easy come, easy go.  If that was the price of acquiring Lee, it was worth it.

While I wish the Purdue boys well, they were expendable.  Sean Williams is garbage.

Marc J. Spears: Rockets get a 2nd round pick from Charlotte that Boston owned along with JaJuan Johnson,E'Twaun Moore and Sean Williams in Courtney Lee deal Twitter

the charlotte pick seems to be the one we were awarded from OKC due to the jeff green debacle. is courtney lee worth that much?

Um, yes.  Courtney Lee is worth the pile of muck we are shipping out.

think moore can't sign with the c's for a year, know that's how it worked with fisher and the lakers (larry coon on his twitter account had to repeat this fact 1000x to faker fans) .

That's what I thought the rule is now too, not until the next season.

But will it even apply in Moore's case? He wouldn't be waived, his option would be declined.
