I think we are fortunate, OP. Not only do we get to fill a gapping hole, we also compress the roster.

That much?! we gave up a crap fest, lol.

3 scrubs and a future scrub for a young rotation player.

Danny has done a great job this offseason.

I fail to see the logic in is he worth that much? As others have pointed out 3 scrubbers and a late pick for starter potential. That's daylight robbery.

Marc J. Spears: Rockets get a 2nd round pick from Charlotte that Boston owned along with JaJuan Johnson,E'Twaun Moore and Sean Williams in Courtney Lee deal Twitter

the charlotte pick seems to be the one we were awarded from OKC due to the jeff green debacle. is courtney lee worth that much?

as fans, it's fun to get excited with the upside of prospects.  Perhaps someday there will be more of a farm system.  But we are giving up peanuts for a YOUNG talented roleplayer.  Someone you can pair with Bradley and Rondo for years!

GO Danny!
Go Celts!

JJJ and Williams ,  just not going to help that much.  Moore was a good guy, sorry to see him have to go.  But the overall deal probally strenghtens us , so we don't get the "YOU KNOW WHAT" kicked out of us until AB is heathy again.
This trade makes the Celtics stronger right off the block...impact player .

JJJ and 2 guys who might not even be in the league in a week? Yeah, he is worth that.

I put zero stock into Moore's summer league performance since it is an easy environment for guards who handle the ball. All those guys could play well in college. Summer league isn't far from that.

Well, Charlotte's pick is really almost a 1st round pick.  JaJuan Johnson was a first round pick.
And E'Twaun Moore could be a solid role player.
The thing is that Courtney Lee is a lights out shooter.  He will play right away.  He is an impact player.  And the Celtics are trying to win now.

They can purchase late first round, early 2nd round picks in any draft in any year.

I think we came out ahead big time.  I wonder if Kevin did not give us another assist somehow....

Come on down, Dionte Christmas!

I wonder who the Celtics will find to round out their rooster. Maybe the bae on Darko?

I agree.  Greatly enhances Christmas's chance of sitting on the C's bench.  Seems solid and should be a good practice player.  Maybe even an energizer bunny off the bench.

Would have been a coin toss between Xmas and E'Twaun anyhow.

We didn't give up a thing of value.

Neither did McHale.  They weren't keeping Lee anyway.  All they did was take a contract for a draft pick.

we're as stacked as any team in america or the world.

Could we beat the US Olympic team?

I didn't say it, but we all thought about it for a sec.
