the charlotte pick seems to be the one we were awarded from OKC due to the jeff green debacle. is courtney lee worth that much?

yes, its worth it.

the only asset im going to miss in the trade is Etwuan Moore...I liked him and thought he had a ceiling of a decent backup PG in the league

Johnson I was quickly losing hope in.

Looking at JJJ and what he's been doing in Summer League, he's been terrible. Moore has been pretty good but again a guy like him is expendable, Williams hasn't done crap since he got booted from Boston College. The Bobcats might actually have a sneaky 9th 10th seed team this year. All and all...I love the rebuilding here more than anyone but even though this trade goes against what I believe this team should have done, its a steal for Danny.

Yes. I don't think Moore, Johnson, or Williams could have contributed as much as Lee will this season. And I don't think Ainge is losing any sleep over losing that 2nd round pick.

We're not sending much for Lee, so no. Moore and JJJ will be easily replaced in the roster, so don't care. I like Moore though, but not a deal breaker by any stretch of the imagination.

I saw the thread title, and immediately got scared that something else was traded to Houston.

That 2nd round pick was like found money when it was awarded last month. None of the players the Celtics were giving up would have played much this season.

I'm extremely happy with the trade. Lee is worth this much, if not more.
