Celtics need a PG and an enforcer at center.
Dooling and Joel Przybilla

Christmas and Joseph on non - guarneteed deals.

Rondo/Avery/Dooling
Lee/Jet/Christmas*
Pierce/Green/Joseph*

i would sign keyon for 2 mill, and try to sign craig smith for the vet min.
Does Craig Smith bring anything to the table that Jared Sullinger doesn't?

a healthy vertebrae/depth

I would rather bring in someone who offers a different skill-set to Bass / Wilcox / Sullinger than someone who offers more of the same. Either a stretch four who can hit the three point shot or a plus defender at PF (since none of those guys are).

For me, Craig Smith is too similar to (and not as good as) Jared Sullinger.

I feel Xmas and Joseph have both played well and deserve to make the roster.  I would rather have a few young chips at the end of the bench instead of the old bodies we used to have.  Neither group will play much, but the young kids could be trade chips down the road.

1. Resign Pietrus for his non-bird raise (1.6M). He deserves a chance to be in this deep roster being healthy. Beast defender.

2. Get your big. Danny wouldn't give up on JJJ if he didn't have a better option in his sleeve. He got rid of Moore because of Lee, so he probably has his big in mind. With Saunders somewhat on board, Danny has insight into Blatche. I'd rather have Milicic for defensive reasons, but the Celtics seem to be out of his 4 teams (Nets,cHeat,Bulls,Clippers). A second unit of Terry/Lee/Green/Blatche/Wilcox would be crazy good.

3. Resign Dooling for whatever money you can, staying under de luxury tax apron. He provides insurance and he's a future coach. Rondo respects him a lot, and that's something.

Rondo/Terry/Dooling
Bradley/Lee/Pietrus
Pierce/Green/Joseph
Bass/Blatche/Sullinger
KG/Wilcox/Melo

Incredible depth, young&veteran mix, defense, upside...

A++++ offseason if you get it, Danny

Still want Dooling, Pietrus and Stiems back but if we lose Greg then what about Tony Battie?  Big guy, cheap, tight with Pierce, can rebound, defend and give us 10-15 minutes.

If we lose steamer, how about Nazr Mohammad? I think Przybilla is still out there, Aaron Gray. I'm still not a fan of Darko, even though he has improved over the years.

Mark it down!!!!!!!!!!

I see it as...

Starters:
Rondo, Lee, Pierce, Bass, KG
Bench:
Jet, Pietrus, Green, Sullinger, Steisma
3rd String:
Wilcox, Joseph, Melo, (1 Roster Spot Left)

If we don't sign Pietrus I think C;s will resign him & trade for Carlos Delfino.

What has Kris Joseph done that makes people feel like he's going to get off the bench this season? He will be up in Maine with Melo now that they are officially our "farm team".

I have a feeling Ainge is going to take a shot on Blatche.  Dooling has waxed poetic about his experience in Boston.  he will be re-signed unless needed to S and T ballast for a center who wants more than the BAE.

That third PG doesn't figure to get a lot of playing time.

Has Aaron Gray been signed yet?   He is slow but can rebound decent.  I would rather take a flyer on him than Darko but neither is ideal.

Give me Blatche and Dools and we are done!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

it is really unclear if there will be any more signings because of the luxury cap. Basically it will be a first year player to get to 13 and that will probably be it. And most quality vets will want a two year deal and the luxury tax after this year will be huge. The celtics carry a lot of debt and need a lot of profit to pay it down every year.
