First, well done on saying "couldn't care less;" many people erroneously put "could care less," which makes no sense.

Second, I absolutely could care less, because I actually do care quite a bit.  As others have said, I don't want to see the Lakers  catch up to us in titles.

If they get Dwight, they become very scary with Kobe, Gasol, Nash, and him.  Our only real hope is that Nash and Kobe will break down (which is quite possible; Nash is nearly 38 and Kobe is 34 and in the same boat as KG with mileage as since he too came directly out of high school).

Yeah, its a hard one to watch.

I can't hate the Heat. I tried. They're a group of three really talented basketball players playing in a small market to a franchise that doesn't really matter.

Not to mention that when they're clicking, they really are "Where Amazing Happens."

Now, the Lakers... man, the Lakers are pure evil. Great players, Great team, but I had a hard time rooting for Derek Fisher when he was draining threes on the Thunder against the Heat.

Last thing--if Dwight does end up on the Lakers, then the Thunder better not amnesty Perk.

AHhhhh so that's what this is about. Lakers not tying the celtics in banners. Sorry, im more worried about our team finding a way to beat the team that has knocked us out of the playoffs the last 2 years. How about worrying about the lakers once they at least reach the finals? A little too early to start worrying about that now. We know we have to go through miami for us to even get a shot at banner 18 tho. Last time i checked OKC is still the team to beat in the west and last time i checked the celtics are in the east. Lets stay focused on the real enemy here and that's miami right now.
In that case, why worry about anything?

Who cares about OKC? New season. What happened the year before is irrelevant (Dallas anyone?)

Considering we don't look like we have a strong shot at winning it all, the Lakers become more significant if they wrap up the title "all time greatest franchise".

If you don't care about that, so be it.

Howard is an upgrade over bynum but is he really THAT much better than him? Nash is like 40 years old and can't play defense westbrook will light him up. OKC is still the team to beat regardless. I don't want the lakers to win either but im alot more concerned about the heat considering they are the guys stopping us from even getting a shot at the lakers or OKC!

No, hes not... And D12 is coming off back surgery. idk if anyone here remembers it  but our team effectively shut Dwight down both times we played the Magic this year. Bynum gave us more problems. They're similar players, and if the Lakers get further than the 2nd round this year its because they have Nash, not Howard.

Will Howard now get the luxury of six seconds in the key that seems to be awarded to every laker big man?

TP for using "couldn't care less" correctly.

Seconded!

Every time I hear someone say (or in the blogging terms, see someone post) "could care less", I just bust out laughing.

Ranks right up there with "should of".

It doesn't matter how much better Howard is than Bynum.

It matters how much better a fit with the Lakers Howard is than Bynum.

And he is a much better fit.  Westbrook's penetrations won't be as easy as you think with Dwight meeting him at the rim.

Perk is going to be earning his money.  He will be worth every penny.  He is one of the few defenders in this league capable of stopping Howard.

I wish we had a guy like that.

The difference between the overall impact of Bynum and Howard at this point isn't that big. I also have no faith in Mike Brown making that situation work.

No way howard can deal with being a potential fourth option in LA after being the guy in Orlando.
