How great would it be if the Lakers trade for Dwight and give up Bynum and other assests and then Dwight doesn't resign? That would be the end of the Lakers for some time because Kobe and Nash are old and they would have zero young studs to build around. That would be my dream!!

That would be quite funny - and possible.

I can imagine that IF DH ends up in LA for Bynum and whoever else, he will expect the ball. The good thing is that right now Nash can get it to him. I'm sure Pau (if he isn't traded as well), will give DH good looks, too.

But I just can't believe that even Steve Nash will keep Kobe from playing Hero Ball, from time to time.

I don't even think Magic Johnson could keep Kobe from doing that.

Shooters shoot the ball - Kobe a bit more than others. Sometimes with disastrous results.

Out of teams willing to give up all those pieces and still have someone left on their team to get DH to stay! How many teams can give up AV and probably other players and picks and are then left with a player of KI's caliber left (I think they would be getting Bynum)? To get these players you need to give up a lot... Clev. is of the few that can give up good pieces and still have someone (like a DW or KI or Pau and KoMe) to keep Bynum or DH when they are FA.

-Atlanta can give up Horford, Teague, and a pick and still have Josh Smith (Dwight's best friend) and a ton of cap space.
-Memphis can give up Gay, Gasol, and a pick and still have Conley, Randolph, and TA
-The Clippers can give up Blake and still have CP3
-Indiana can give up Hibbert and Granger and still have David West and Paul George
-Golden State can give up Harrison Barnes, Andrew Bogut, and a pick and still have Stephen Curry

Those are just a few.  And once again, it only takes one to make a trade. Dwight isn't getting traded to six different teams.  Should only need one possible package.  Pick your favorite.

There are dozens of possibilities out there.

None of these happen without an extension.

I can't see why any team would want to make the Lakers better.

Memphis and Phoenix come to mind of late.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce
