If the organization feels the same from the top on down about ray ray's "decision" it could serve to unite this team. They've always gone to war together but this might be the beginning of the season motivation to put them over the edge. Or at least im crossing my fingers.  :-X  Should fire KG and Pauly up a bit. Rondo doesn't even need mentioning. He will be foaming at the mouth i bet. He loves playin with a chip on his shoulder. Kid loves any slight you give him. Keep um comin haters. ;D

That's all it is. In forum settings, there is a box you can check, that says 'Hidden' or something like it. Maybe 'allow others to see when I'm online'.

It just means my name doesn't appear up there as lurking.

WHICH I ALWAYS AM, EVERYWHERE!!!!!!

Ha!

What you hiding from though, the blogging boogeyman?  ;D

Oh, and here's a TP just for making me laugh.

In all honesty I did it way before I even became a mod. Someone told me about it, and i liked the idea that people wouldn't know what I was reading/where I was all the time. Got used to it.

That makes sense, your whereabouts ain't nobodies business.  And I guess, in reality the mod part doesn't matter.  We all really should follow the rules whether being watched or not.

Glad we got that "cleared up"   8)

Yeah, Rondo in particular will probably be way-hyped and ready to take it to Miami.  I bet he's praying he gets the chance to make Ray look silly 1v1.

Ray can go to hell.

I think he's done, anyway.

This is taking it too far in my opinion.  Boo him if you'd like, but this isn't a phrase that should be thrown around lightly.

Personally, though, I just getting tired of the whole story.  It's over.  Ray's playing for the Heat now.  Nothing anybody says is going to change that fact.  If PP and KG are angry, let them be angry.  They can take it out on Miami every time we play them, because the road to the Finals is going through Miami for the next couple of years.

I can't believe no one has been able to get quotes on how KG and Pierce feel on the matter.

That in itself says something.

I dont know if its just speculation on my part. but i believe Allen knew about the plans for next season which he was included. And knowing that him leaving will greatly affect the overall plans by the Cs. Case in point, our inability to sign Lee.

Well, to be honest, I think we are:

Danny, Doc, KG, Paul, Celtics Fans, etc, etc, upset with his decision? Well...

I say we all take a note from The Trench Scene and just Let Go:

"Use the Force, People...LET GO...."

Ray is GONE. I don't like it or his new team, but he's gone. I respect his decision, and wish him and his family well.

I sincerely hope he tears up the league, but shoots miserably vs BOS.

I'm looking forward to what we have HERE. Perhaps a piece here or there, and IMO this is one of our strongest teams from the past few years.

Not surprised. If I were Danny or Doc, I'd be upset too. They're one of a very few people with a legitimate beef.

The fans don't have the right to be mad for the same reasons? Why not?

Cuz what Ray did had nothing to do with the fans personally.

By that standard, do fans ever have a legitimate reason to be angry at players?

Or to be happy with players, for that matter?

When asked about how his thoughts on Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett responded
Quote
"*censored to comply with celticsblog guidelines*"

Paul Pierce did not answer the question but acted laid back and did not appear to care in the usual Captain Truth fashion.

Sources: My head. 99% probably right.

That in itself says something.

It could mean that KG and Pierce are upset with Ray and don't want to say anything.

It also could mean that KG and Pierce are angry with Danny for "mistreating" Ray and causing his departure.

I don't know for sure but I lean toward the second explanation. I think players tend to sympathize with each other more easily than with management.

the thing is, to a big extent I can see where Ray was coming from.  I saw it during the year, during the past two years, when they tried to trade him, I was mad at danny too, i coudn't believe he'd want to trade someone who had put so much into the franchise as ray did.

but rather than seeing it as a "Danny-Ray" issue, Ray chose to see it as a whole organization thing.  when he made the decision to go to the Heat, I believe he did it mostly out of spite.  And I think it's starting to hit him that this decision was not just against Danny, but against his teammates and Celtics fans everywhere.  THEN he blames all of them in his press conference.  talk about petty.

i still hope he gets a standing ovation the first time he comes back.  But after that first one, I hope people get inside his head like no other player to ever play in the Garden.  whatever fans cheer, I hope it is utterly merciless.  I hope KG makes him cry.  I know he'll be fired up.

It could also be they watched film and saw how bad he defended.   Ray was hurt we all know but he defended very poorly in the MIA series this year.  At times it seemed he didn't even foul when he could have stopped then, I know the guy was hurt and could not slide his feet but he should have been able to flail his arms!

As for the trades, it is a business plan and simple.   Ray should know that and fans should know that.   We should have traded him at the trade deadline and who knows I think we could have been in the finals.

He deserves the ovation.
