I personally THUNK Lakers want to GET RID/ DUMP  Bynum as much as they WANT Howard.

Here within lies as much problem as HOWARD.  I don't think GM's want to bet the bank on BYNUM joining their team and being happy, positive, grateful , good teamate or anything really worth giving up for him.

Bynum can be a great player , but he is probally the biggest jerk off in the NBA.... and if he an't happy having the Lakers hold his hand and suck up to him day in and day out , nobody else is .  Kevin McCale sure isn't going to put up with Bynums tantrums and ignoring authority.  Howard is a least coachable.

Bynum is sort of a WHITE ELEPAHNT.... people WANT his talents/game , but don't want him. He is a rotten tool.

Unless it is Miami , where Riley might control him , I don't think Bynum will play ball half -way for anybody else.

What you really have here is TWO guys who don't want to go to where they are being sent.  Neither will sign a long term deal....so I really don't see ANYTHING getting done.

I think IF BYNUM was excited and WANTED to play for Orlando and would sign an extension the deal would be done long ago.

I just don't see ANYBODY comming out happy in any of this .

I think HARDIN and IBAKA aren't such divas that they wouldn't sign extensions with ORLANDO.

If he is traded to the Lakers, yes, he will be a Laker.  He cannot sit out like they do in the NFL.  If he did, it would ruin his career.  It would be unprecedented.

I'm sure Adidas would like a word w/ him before he were to make that decision.
