I know he's older, but Antawn Jamison put up 17 and 7 last night and is on the verge of signing w/ the Lakers for minimum money? Why' not offer him 1/4th this money if you're Brooklyn?

Sub question: Why is Antawn Jamison receiving pretty much no attention? Guy can play.

I'm pretty sure they used the MLE on the foreign guy and thus can't offer anyone that isn't returning more than the minimum.

And Jamison is way older than Humphries, no where near the rebounder, and is unnecessary as a scorer on that team.  And as bad as Humphries is at defense, Jamison makes Humphries look like Dennis Rodman on that end.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Antawn Jamison should sue Mike Brown for making him cover KG in the playoffs three years ago. Guys reputation never recovered from an inability to cover someone half a foot taller than him.

I’m so sick of hearing about Kim Karhoweveryouspellit what did she ever do to become so famous? Oh yeah, nevermind.

Good move for the Nets:

Lopez

JJ
Williams

That is a playoff team, folks.

You say that like he can cover guys his own height, or guys smaller than him which definitely isn't the case.

Remember they also tried to have him guard Pierce that series....

Yup.  A 5 seed without much hope of ever moving up the charts.  Hoorah.

Well I don't mean to hype him up like he's still an All Star caliber player, but I still think he's a very effective player. He's not going to be able to stop above average bigs, but I see him like an exceptional Boris Diaw. A heck of a 3rd big option that can be put in the right situation to significantly help a team out.

I actually think they win the Atlantic.

Sounds like Atwan in his prime, not what he is now.

Antwan doesn't get rebounds or score/shoot at a good enough clip anymore to be an impact player given his defensive liabilities.

Rondo = Williams
Bradley < Johnson
Pierce > Wallace
Bass = Humphries
Garnett > Lopez

BOS bench >>>>> BKN bench

I have to disagree with you there.

I don't. Nothing Philly, NY or Brooklyn has done has given me any confidence that in a normal year they could have a better record than the Celtics.

That's underselling a bit I think. The Hawks had Joe Johnson as their best player. This Nets team has a top-10 player - the second best point guard in the league - as its best player and JJ as a sidekick. This team is much better than the Hawks of the last couple years - and is much better coached.

I think that they're relying on Lopez to be on the court and effective a lot more than I'd be comfortable with.

They're going to be beastly on offense though.
