But at least Brook, when healthy which i realize is a big if, is a legit 20+ point a night 7 footer.

I mean sure, he can't defend and rebounds like my grandma, but you can build Defense around a 7 footer who can score at will in the post and can actually shoot Free throws.

Hump is just....a guy. He's like a white leon powe. Rebounds, slow on his footwork on D but gives effort, can get garbage points because of his hustle.

That guy aint worth 6 mill a year never mind 12.

In fairness, Batum is a great fit with Minnesota and opens a lot up for their offense and defense.  And is a restricted free agent, in which case high bids are common to prevent the home team from matching.  In Jeff Green's case, he is unrestricted and we are the home team.

Not really apples to apples.

Yes, but that is mostly their own fault.  The 2-guard is overpaid.  The 3 is overpaid.  The 5 is overpaid.  And now the 4 must be overpaid.  Fantastic.

Batum has been a better player than Jeff Green at pretty much every stage of his career at comparable points.

And yes I think he is overpaid, just like Green. At least Batum has potential to fully become an all-star if given the minutes and opportunity. Green offers me no such hope...
