I'd like Pietrus. His size and rebounding ability would be very nice in that 2nd string wing slot.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

Wasn't last year's salary for MP partially covered by the Suns, since they waived him?
We signed him for the veteran's minimum, not his old Suns contract.
Meaning he didn't play for the vet minimum last year correct?  Anyway, I am about 50-50 on whether Pietrus comes back.  Given that there aren't many offers for him that I know of though, I think he would take the BAE (even though it would be a pay cut).  But will we get the chance?  Who knows?

As of now I see no back-up PG.

Maybe Dooling for the minimum if his salary isn't used in a sign-and-trade.  There are a lot of interchangeable experienced back-up point guards, so this isn't really something that the team needs to address until it figures out if it can do some maneuvering for some sort of S&T.

Have not heard a single rumor of Pietrus being targeted by another team.

Until we do, the Celtics' BAE sets the bar. Will it get it done? That remains to be seen. I imagine the Stiemsma situation needs to be resolved first, and that can't happen until Nic Batum knows where he's going.

I'd like to get Pietrus back, but more than that, I'd love to have mcgrady. He can back up multiple positions (and be motivated as hecI just got another casino offer in the mail. Trip for 2 to Reno nevada. 500$ includes airfare for 2, hotel stay at harrahs Reno, and ground transportation. Either in August (16-20) or October (26-30th). Would u maybe be interested?k if he got a start here+ there). Plus, he gives us a height/rebounding advantage at the point, while able to create his own shot

Pietrus is a nice defensive option, but offensivley he is way too inconsistent. What about Delonte West ???

That's what the C's need most out of the position. Plenty of offense from everyone else.

We've already got two heart patients, a pair of busted shoulders, a rebuilt knee, and a herniated disc, and somewhere between zero and two cases of plantar fasciitis. If you give me a choice between Grade 3 Concussion and Papier-mâché Bones, it's a close one, but I'll take the first guy.

Nick/Dwight/Lin situations need to sort them freakin selfs out already, they're holding up everybody.

im not sure where this idea that Pietrus is "too expensive" is coming from..I havent heard of a single team giving Pietrus an offer.

hes not getting MLE money or else he wouldve been signed already....and he didnt really have the greatest year last year due to injuries etc. The most he can probably get is mini-mle type numbers that isnt much higher than the BAE.

If no Lee, my guess would be Leandro Barbosa. Ainge has always been linked to Barbosa via the rumor mill.  Rumored to have inquired about him when with the Suns in 2010, also inquired about what it would take to get him as a Raptor...

Would Barbosa sign for the vet min ?

If no Lee, Barbosa would be a good educated guess.
