The Lakers are coming legit this off-season.

I'm surprised that the Bobcats didn't make him an acceptable offer.

Yeah, the Thunder are going to have a much harder time knocking the Lakers out. LA still needs someone who can slow down Westbrook's penetration.

Gahd [dang it].
My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.

Surprising. It sounded like Jamison and Charlotte was a near done-deal.

Bad signing for LA. Another shot-happy player who'll take touches and shot attempts away from their dominant low post scorers. Another defensive liability too. I expect Jamison to do more damage than good for LA.

There's no way Jamison can still play the SF, is there? He's strictly a 4 now, correct?

I believe that they did, but that he decided to chase a ring. According to Bonnell, Jamison has been mulling for a week whether to play for the Nets, the Bobcats or the Lakers, and he has to take quite a pay cut to play for LAL.

Surprise me, thought he sign with Charlotte to be closer with his family. Plus he would get alot of playing time there. Guess he wants a ring more. guess this rules out Grant Hill signing with the lakers. Clippers might be Hill new home
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

i really want to know what he signed for. i'd hope the vet minimum. i wouldnt be keen for him on the Cs. his attitude was pretty bad in cleveland (maybe understandably) and now i think he's too old to be a force.

go thunder.

I'd love to know what Danny Ainge is waiting for >:(

The Lakers have clearly improved this offseason.

So have the Celtics. Green, Terry, Sullinger are a very nice mix on the bench. Free Agency has just started. I expect 1 or 2 more quality rotation players to join the team.

LA should start Jamison next to Bynum and have Pau come off of the bench. Sign Hill, Bell and a swingman/defender and they could have a solid 8-10 man rotation.

Oh NOOOOOO!!!! Not Antawn Jamison! Not a guy who makes one of the oldest teams in the league even older! Not a guy who couldn't guard a chair to save his life! Not a guy who is too small to cover power forwards and too slow to cover small forwards! Not a guy whose decline has been masked by the fact that he was the 2nd option in Cleveland, one of the worst teams in the league! Please, ANYONE but Antawn Jamison!

All sarcasm aside, the Lakers continue to improve something that wasn't an issue last year. They can get all the offensive firepower they want. Does Nash and Jamison help them score? Of course they do, but neither stop Westbrook or Durant. Remember the Mavericks added Toine and Jamison to their squad for scraps. It made them the best team offensively, but defensively, they still had nothing. The 2012 Lakers will definitely be better defensively than the 2004 Mavericks, but the Thunder still have every match-up down against them, with or without Nash/Jamison.
