http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmGTDBR2ye4There are stupid calls and no calls in almost every sport from time to time but in my opinion all sports should be played within a spectrum that makes it "fair" for both teams, players etc
For example: How much grief would the hawkeye system (that they have been using in tennis since 2002-2003) have saved players like John "you can not be serious!" Mcenroe?
We will never know what the outcome of this game would have been if rondo had gotten 2 freethrows but it most certainly would have been different.
As the rules are now officials can only video review ball out of bounds plays and plays that have to do with shot clock shots or shots that either were a 2 or 3 point fg.
My suggestion is:
At any point in a game each team/coach can substitute 1 of thier timeouts for a review of a call/no call.
Each team is awarded 1 review per quarter and can not "save" reviews for the remaining quarters (use all reviews in the 4th)
This would make a gamechaning, or potentially series and god forbid championship changing call or no call disappear and it wouldnt drag out the time on a game due to that the timeouts are substituted by the review.
Something like this would be very good for the nba i think.
