Why I hate the Lakers less

1 ) Steve Nash  I like
2) JACKSON IS GONE !! :D
3) Dr Butt....ALMOST GONE ! ;D
4) Kobe getting OLD ( he makes a funny old dude)
5) MWP plays for them exclusively
6) Bynum hates his own team
7) Gasol is Ok .
8) They are stuck with a 2 nd rate coach
9) they are outwest

The Heat at surely the NEW "STERN" darlings of the NBA.
Pretty much most of the HEAT aare easy to dislike , as they are divas , thugs and back stabbers.

HEAT go off the scale for HATING..... I would even wear a KNICKS shirt to see them kick LaBrons tail all over the court.

Lakers are enemies forever , but the HEAT are the CLEAR and PRESENT DANGER.

Your post gave me a laugh. TP.

Now who in the world is Dr. Butt?? ;D

I'll give two guess and the first one doesn't count.... ;D

Ps.....I swear...its true.. I just can't hate on Kobe like I used to.... I got this really cool new puppy and he has  "KOBE EYES"

Yes.......I said it,  its true  , my dog and Kobe look alike in the face.

The shocking thing to me is the reaction to my comments about LA being our "true" enemy.

This, to me, is like the late 80's - early 90s.....the "end" of the Cold War...US and Russia making nice.

Cats and Dogs playing together.

Next thing you know, Magic and Larry will make a "Kum Bi Ya" video together - with LA fans and Celtics Fans holding hands and singing in the background.

Makes me sick just thinking about it.
I don't think it will come to that. I also don't think the rivalry is near as strong as it was in the past. Not even with us playing in two finals in the last few seasons. I still hate the Lakers more then any sports team ever. But we don't see them enough to fuel the fire anymore.

And years ago we hated the 76ers about the same as the Lakers. Because we saw them 4 times in the regular season and then possibly 7 times in the playoffs. So in a way the Heat have become our new 76ers. Only the Heat have been the ones winning.

Good point, but to that end I just don't see MIA winning it next year. To me, they just haven't "sustained" success. Now, that may change over the next few years, but IF they can beat BOS, with Rondo/AB/KG/Paul/Jet/Bass/Wilcox/Sully/JG, then I'll be ready to crown them as the "new" enemy.

I'm just too stubborn sometimes.

I'm still in the minority that believe if we had a healthy Avery Bradley, he would've slowed down Wade considerably and allowed us to perhaps beat MIA - even with Bosh playing.

For me, MIA's "dynasty" just seems a bit too tenuous. If Wade were 2-3 yrs younger, then maybe.

But the man will be 31 next year, and seems to get dinged up more every year. Avery Bradley will be like a shark that smells blood in the water next time we play them in a series.

I in no way think they've got a dynasty. Wade is made out of wet paper and they don't have the money to keep good players around them all the time.

They do have James however. And as much as I don't like him he's darn good.
Peace through Tyranny

Wow, then ;D.

I guess it's said and done.

I'll start getting my Green and Purple and Gold draperies together.

I mean, THIS pic just says it all, right?

So we're now comparing Kobe Bean Bryant, he of ultimate arrogance, to Man's best Friend.

We are becoming SOFT, CelticsBlog.

Kobe is one of the greatest basketball players of all time.

That said, at BEST he cheated on his wife and mother of his children and possibly raped a woman.

He ran Shaq out of town and broke up one of the greatest Laker teams of all time.

And he's a jerk who Laker fans love.

I can't understand how anyone out of LA could like the guy.

Hate him, don't hate, dislike, still respect, despise, love....It doesn't really matter what everyone feels right now in this moment.

When will it matter? when Ray Ray is hitting clutch 3's against us in the ECF's....Then you'll know how you really feel about him leaving.

I don't know about you, but I'll be screaming and growling.  I can already see it coming.

  • Let them hate, as long as they fear
The guy did nothing wrong.  He exercised his right as a free agent to play for whichever team he wanted, which unfortunately wasn't us.  Why the vitriol? He gave us 5 great years, always handled himself with class and professionalism (even though he was shopped relentlessly the last few years and benched for the first time in his career last season), and always stayed in shape and played hard.  Looking at it from his perspective, why would he stay here and be a reserve when he could do that for the defending champs? We made it pretty clear we were going in a different direction.  People are going to talk about loyalty, but loyalty is a two way street and the truth is that the Celtics didn't show Ray much loyalty last year.
And someday in the midst of time,
When they ask you if you knew me
Remember that you were a friend of mine

Yeah, we resigned Garnett and added Terry. Clearly a sign of going into a direction other than contending.  ::)

Regardless, why not the vitriol? The fans are doing nothing wrong, they're just exercising their right of free speech. You reap what you sow...

I'm holding on to hear more from Ray himself and others in the Celtics before I make my mind up 100% on this one. I want to know how Paul and KG feel about the move. And I have an idea if the fans boo Alien then those two won't support it as much as some here think.

What's wrong with pointing out that Ray pretty much slapped the franchise in the face to join one of our rivals.

Yeah Ray was a free agent and could choose where he wanted to go. I am free to call someone an **** it doesn't mean just because we both had the freedom to do either doesn't make us void of criticism.

And stop with the crying about him being in trade talks. It seems that if that really didn't bother him than he wouldn't have taken it so personally and left.

Ray didn't give a crap when Perk got traded.  Just spewed the whole 'its a business type thing' then all of a sudden he's getting shopped and its personal?
 No profanity.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.

The thing is, Ray left to go to the HEAT. Our biggest obstacle into getting to the Finals. I hate him because he's in our way towards a championship now. If he went to the Clippers, he wouldn't get as much hate because he could diminish the Lakers' chances at reaching the Finals.

Rondo was getting shopped more than Ray last season...and what did he do?
I like Marcus Smart

I feel like we should have already heard.  At this point, we might have to wait for the tell-all memoirs.

Personally i have nothing against Ray as a person.
I liked him since I saw him play for the first time, he is a great guy! And the message in the Boston Globe just makes me like him even more.
I dont hate Ray, im just disapointed to be honest.
We offered him 12 mil for 2 years, while Miami offered him 6 mil for 2 years. I doesnt take a scientist to realize which offer is the best.
He left Boston which means i wont be rooting for him (especially not wearing that jersey), but good luck Ray you will be missed.
Jack of all trades, master of none.
