The guy did nothing wrong.  He exercised his right as a free agent to play for whichever team he wanted, which unfortunately wasn't us.  Why the vitriol? He gave us 5 great years, always handled himself with class and professionalism (even though he was shopped relentlessly the last few years and benched for the first time in his career last season), and always stayed in shape and played hard.  Looking at it from his perspective, why would he stay here and be a reserve when he could do that for the defending champs? We made it pretty clear we were going in a different direction.  People are going to talk about loyalty, but loyalty is a two way street and the truth is that the Celtics didn't show Ray much loyalty last year. 

We aren't giving out awards for highly paid people that do their best to do their job today.

I was mad at him for the first two days. Then I thought about it more and got over it. Now I'm starting to think he did the smart thing.

It's kind of like a break up with some of my old girlfriends. It just didn't take me so long to work it all out with this one.

The absolutely HILARIOUS THING here is that our TRULY hated enemies, The Lakers, seem to be "growing" on us since they aquired Steve Nash.

I get the feeling around here that MIA has moved up the "disliked" chain to replace LA.

Since when did THAT happen?

To be honest, the Lakers grow on me just like 3-day old funk, lol.

But seriously - let's refocus and place our hate back on LA. For IF Steve gets his FIRST ring, then that will mean Kobe gets his SIXTH.

And THAT CANNOT HAPPEN.

Biggest difference for me is i atleast RESPECT the lakers. I dont respect the heat at all!

Yea, as much as I hate LA I do respect many of their teams and players. I can't respect  Artest however.

The modern day Heat I've got no respect for however. Not that they give a blank. They're the Champs.

one of the darker periods of SNL --> lots of comedic talent wasted with really bad writing.

1 ) Steve Nash  I like
2) JACKSON IS GONE !!
3) Dr Butt....ALMOST GONE !
4) Kobe getting OLD ( he makes a funny old dude)
5) MWP plays for them exclusively
6) Bynum hates his own team
7) Gasol is Ok .
They are stuck with a 2 nd rate coach
9) they are outwest

The Heat at surely the NEW "STERN" darlings of the NBA.
Pretty much most of the HEAT aare easy to dislike , as they are divas , thugs and back stabbers.

HEAT go off the scale for HATING..... I would even wear a KNICKS shirt to see them kick LaBrons tail all over the court. 


Lakers are enemies forever , but the HEAT are the CLEAR and PRESENT DANGER.

I hate ray allen... i really hope he has an awful awful season. Like I have the last two seasons, I will root for every team that plays against Miami. I honestly think the nba has become worse since the original decision and some of the chris paul/dwight howard super team demands from the last few years are all coming as a result of the heat.

I don't think it will come to that. I also don't think the rivalry is near as strong as it was in the past. Not even with us playing in two finals in the last few seasons. I still hate the Lakers more then any sports team ever. But we don't see them enough to fuel the fire anymore.

And years ago we hated the 76ers about the same as the Lakers. Because we saw them 4 times in the regular season and then possibly 7 times in the playoffs. So in a way the Heat have become our new 76ers. Only the Heat have been the ones winning.
