Never been a huge fan; but way better than Darko.
He is making 6 mil.; but with Lopez and Gortat Phoenix should be willing to trade for him. They also just picked up Scola.
Only question is what it would take.
Wilcox, Frye and Melo would be a decent Depth at center with KG and Sulinger filling in as needed.

Gortat also has a pretty friendly contract.

I think Bass has Frye's role here.

I don't think there are the minutes available for Frye as a result.

Bass is not a big shot blocker and can't guard taller bigs. Thinking of Frye as a Center so KG can play more PF.

Nor can Frye. He is most definitely not a center. He is a finesse PF.

He lacks the physical size / toughness to defend bigger players and is a limited shot-blocker.

Why would Phoenix take Scola?

They are signing Lopez and have Gortat, Warwick, Frye and Morris

That would give them

PF: Frye, Scola, Warrick, Morris
C: Lopez, Gortat

Actually you are right. Lopez's contract is much better.
Would be a decent pick up with a sign and trade.

Isn't Frye the guy that Garnett punched in the nuts a few years ago?

Has Frye ever been an effective player away from Nash?

He is not the PF this team needs right now.  He is another Bass.

Celtics should be looking for the middle clogging, dirty job big man.

No Frye. He's horrible.
