Absolutely. I love Rondo but come on, Nash is still arguably the best offensive point guard in the game and Bynum is the second best center in the league.  I'll put it this way, if the Celtics offered this trade the Lakers would laugh in their face

My first instinct would be no... But after thinking it over a bit, there is no way any GM would turn this deal, unless of course like you say, you are the GM of the Lakers.

Lol this thread has a lot of green tinted glasses in it. I mean were trying to capitalize on pierce and kg in the lebron and wade era.

Trade an All-Star PG who should be entering his prime, is capable of being the best player on the floor no matter whom is playing and has raised his game greatly when it matters the most for a middle aged PG who plays NO DEFENSE and a head case Center who can't stay healthy?

  Not in a million years.

tp for your tp too.

This is a silly proposition.

I'd say yes.
A combo of KG and Bynum inside would be very tough to beat with KG stretching the floor and Bynum posting up.
Losing Rondo sucks but it puts another All Star and top 3 NBA center in the middle for us to give KG and Pierce another shot at winning a ring- Nash gives us that point guard that stretches the floor even more and can pass and create just as well as Rondo. We obviously lose perimeter defense with Nash but gain inside D with Bynum.

By the time this run with KG is over we are probably looking at moving Rondo for some lottery picks if we can't orchestrate a successful rebuild anyway, and Nash will be able to play as a starter till he's 40 with no problems.

Tough call but if they're throwing Nash in with Bynum then yes I would do the deal. Without Nash I think long and hard.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
What about a more solid all around PG, like Mike Conley or Kyle Lowry? (Not saying a 3 way trade could ever happen, but what if?)

Nashty's defensive woes would outweigh his offensive brilliance - in Doc's system, at least. I would take my chances with Bynum if we got someone like Conley, Lowry, Parker, etc.
I like Marcus Smart

Yes.  A blatant ruse by the OP to determine who's wearing green-tinted glasses.

Mate the only thing I'm sippin is a hard dose of reality.
Nash+Bynum on our squad for the next 3 seasons= better shot at title than with Rondo.

Do you think Rondo is worth more than Bynum and Nash? If not who would you trade Rondo for?

No, rondo is in his prime and Nash can't defend, plus Bynum hurt a lot
