Pretty psyched about this. I think Darko would be a great pick up! I think he's a better player than most people realize.

Based on.....

People have been saying that about Darko for years and yet he continues to under perform.

If you want a big Body there are plenty of those in Vegas at Summer league and some of them can even shot free throws.

How many of those "big bodies" have averaged around 7.2 PPG in the last 7 seasons of NBA play?

Yes. Let us have him.

Legit 7 footer who can bring toughness and defense and a few offensive moves down low. If he's coming in cheap that is.

SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine

I keep reading the word "toughness" in the same sentence as "Darko Milicic."  There must be a mistake here.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

For the money I'd take the risk on Darko.  He was the 2nd pick apparently for a reason.  I think he needs to be in a system where he can do what he does well.
And Kwame Brown was the first pick for a reason too.  The "he needs the right system" argument doesn't hold water with me.  He's been in the league like 7 years.  People use that argument with Jeff Green too, but after several years with no improvement, players almost always are what they are.

Darko is what Kwame is now, a backup C.

That's what the C's need.

I'd rather have Stiemsma, who gives 100%, than 50% of Darko, because there's no way you're getting more of Darko than 50%.
The odds are still good that Stiemsma gets more than the BAE to steal him away though.

If we do get Darko Milicic, my new signature will be:

"Darko, calm down. Tell us about your impressions..."

Beats Stiemsma  ;)

I'm not so sure on clubhouse reasons alone.  Minny apparently doesn't think so.

Wolves are looking at Stiemsma and Darko as starting center options. Personality comes into play if he's a starter on a team with no real veterans... on a team with KG, Paul, Terry, and Doc? I think he'll fit in fine.

Plus, if he's boys with Sheed he's boys with me.

Comparing Dino Radja with Montross, Potapenko and LaFrentz its disrespectfull for #40 and one of the greatest Croatia players in history  >:(

On this topic- i would sign Darko up to BLE. I believe he could be a 10/7/2 guy at least with Rondo and KG. We need as much big bodys we can get, and KG, Bass, Darko, Sully, Wilcox and Melo...thats 6 players we could go to war...

agreed. also, i think sully's strength under the basket fits well with darko, who relies more upon athletic moves than power. they might play very well together.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Darko is  a guy that has forever been marred by his draft position.  He is a serviceable backup big in this league if you can get him for a good price.
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16
