Melo is a terrible, terrible rebounder.

i agree that melo's college stats for rebounding are underwhelming to say the least. while i am not a melo supporter - yet- i do know that SU played zone exclusively and melo's role was not primarily rebounding in boheim's system.

maybe melo can learn to rebound by working with the celtics. i hope so.

2)  In season trade.  (come January, a Green for Sideshow trade works)

So does a Bass for Verajao trade.  I'm really hoping that Danny goes after him, I think he'd be a perfect fit for this team starting next to KG.

Its not like we could have simply given greens money to someone else.  That's the correct answer.  Once we signed KG, the majority of our cap space was gone.  You would have had to subtract both green and bass to try to sign someone.  I think DA made the right choice.

Green is a terrible rebounder.


Sideshow was a better player then Green before, why expect it has changed?

There wasn't much we could do. Not many options.

And you can't just focus on rebounding even though that was a big problem. You gotta think big picture. If you can get pretty solid players on the team it's better than just going "hard" after a guy like Reggie evans or something. Rebounding isn't everything.

Well when you've only been playing basketball for a few years thats how that happens. Kinda like how Shaq couldn't dunk when he was 6' 10"

I'm not blaming anyone, I'm just pointing out that DA has addressed the problem to the best of his abilities and available resources, over and over, but things happen to spoil the fun.

Yes. You can't just focus on one thing. Ainge pursued e players from last year because teams have an advantage in signing their own players, especially for team ove the cap.

Garnett, Wilcox, Sullinger are all good rebounders.  Bass is OK, not great.  Rondo gets a lot of rebounds from his position.  Green should be a good rebounder but we will see.
