The Celtics biggest weakness the past two seasons has been rebounding.
the guys on the floor work very hard to force a missed shot and then have to do it all over again because they give up so many offensive boards.
along with that, we must be the worst in the league at getting offensive rebounds, which are easy points - which would be huge for this team given our offensive struggles at times. i understand that Doc's system does not put a premium on offensive rebounding - but every single Celtic title team has been a strong rebounding team - one reason we beat the Lakers in '08 was offensive rebounds (KG, Perk, Powe, PJ, Posey & Pierce) - THE reason we lost in 2010 was rebounding.
so .............. why did we not pursue Camby, Kenyon Martin, Hawes,Humphries - to name a few.why Danny spent $10 mill on Jeff Green - whose middle name is potential - is beyong me - i swear he has a man crush on this guy. he's still trying to prove the Perk trade was not a mistake. throwing good money after bad.
i understand the need for an offensive player who can create - Jason Terry - we definitely needed that, but we need rebounding even more - and the two rookies, i don't see them filling that need.
on another note - Is Danny going to re-sign Peitrus - the guy loves being a Celtic and is a very solid bench player. chemistry, Danny, chemistry !!!!
