Waiting on the Terry contract makes perfect sense.  Something may come up to allow them to make that a sign and trade, maybe even including a 3rd team.

There does not however appear to be a logical explanation why
Green is not signed.  It does not seem likely that he would be traded but if he is, that would mean something pretty big is going down, more than just Mayo or Lee I would think.

I am aslo not sure I buy the timing due to CBA loop holes idea.  We are over the cap and below the tax limit, nothing in Green's contract is going to change that although I suppose there is a possibility of something along these lines.

Would there need to be a physical?  Maybe the delay is just related to medical tests.

My thinking is (a) Danny is tinkering with numbers to fit everybody he signs in under the $74M apron. The exact numbers everybody gets depends on who he can get and how he gets them; and (b) although the C's will be over the cap when everyone is signed they might, technically, be under it until they start officially signing those contracts. A technicality like that might make a difference when it comes to how outgoing players are valued in a trade.
