This is meant to be a pretty simple question. I just want to know if people think we currently still have a Big 3 of our own or if our team isn't built that way any more.
I don't consider Pierce/KG/Rondo to be our "Big 3" but I'm not saying that in a negative way. One of our three has decided to move on and I don't think you just take the next best player who wasn't considered to be a part of that triangle at first and shove him into that slot.
Just to be extra clear: This is NOT a Ray Allen hate thread.

Can't we just bring Gerald Green back?

No. I don't think Pierce is playing at a high enough level to say we have a big 3.

It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

we've only got 2 players that would really be considered all-stars (rondo and KG) which is what I would consider a requirement to be considered a "big" anything.

it's a cliche term -- should have been retired when Bird retired.

Bird,Parish, and McHale. They are the only "Big Three" I think of. The second coming was close and that is over. Right now lets thing of the TEAM and not just three guys.

Thank you! Bird, Parish and McHale are the only true "Big Three." And it was a logical name seeing that all three guys are big! I've never called the new gang the big three and never will.
And I'm sick of all the other teams coming up with it too.

But Pierce, KG and Rondo are the three best players on our team. And it's been that way for some time now.

I agree. Bird, McHale, and Parish were the big three because they were physically big!! KG, Paul and Ray were not a big 3, and neither are Lebron, Wade and Bosh. Now if the lakers could somehow get Howard while keeping Gasol and Bynum then I would be ok with calling that a big three.

Lol they have been the big three since the playoffs in 2010. Rondo replaced Ray during the course of the Cleveland series.

I totally agree was about to post about the same thing.
