Change to yesterday's Dorell Wright trade, which now involves Jarret Jack. So sayeth Stein:

Warriors to get Jarrett Jack & Hornets only have to take back draft rights to Edin Bavcic (originally Philly-bound) to complete the trade

Just going online: Philly trade for Dorell Wright is expanding to include Hornets, who have agreed to send Jarrett Jack to Warriors

Really like that move for Golden State. Jack is a quality PG guard who could either back up Curry or play along side him.

Looks like both a financial and roster-related move for the Hornets. Rookie Austin Rivers becomes the de facto starting PG for them, and they clear a little more cap space. I would have thought they could have gotten a draft pick as well in return for Jack, though.

Philly still gets Dorell Wright.

Not enjoying this fairly competent Warriors front office. Next thing you know, they'll try to get out of that David Lee contract.

I don't know, unless New Orleans can use all of its newly created cap space to land a top tier player, I think the team should've stopped at dumping Okafor and Ariza. There's real value in having some hard working, starting caliber vets to mentor higher ceiling rookie-deal players. Witness the Wizards overcompensating for the last three seasons. Jack fits that bill to a t.

It's not even clear that Rivers is ready to man the point full time, he probably gets shook by Vasquez, who'll be focused on earning his second contract not bringing Austin along.

Vasquez will be fine as a starter. Frees up minutes for Rivers as a backup combo guard.

Ah, forgot about Greivis.

Agreed about the move from the Hornet side. Jack was the last remaining "veteran" on that team.

Wonder how Eric Gordon views this.

In other news, the Human Torch was denied a bank loan.

You don't have to pay 5.5 million for veteran leadership.  There are plenty of guys willing to work for the league minimum for just such a gig.  Mike Bibby, Royal Ivey, that type of guy.

Sure, Jarrett Jack is better, but what is the point of expensive improvement on the fringes?

I don't know. I liked the Ryan Anderson signing, but I don't want him as one of my team captains.

Wow [dang]ing Jack with faint praise. 16 points on 45% shooting, 6 assists, 4 rebounds? Do I even need to post Bibby and Ivey's combined totals?

There's a lot of fear among fans about landing in the supposed "no-man's land" of the late lottery, when in fact the most likely outcome for a terrible team? Staying terrible with or without a top 3 pick. Losing begets losing.

Ryan Anderson was a bad signing.

Yeah the way he was exposed during the post season makes me think he won't have the same impact without Dwight around to compliment his deficiencies.

You two must hate the Jeff Green signing then. (Which is fair.)

P.S. NOLA must be hoping that Davis can do the same in the long if not the short term, no?

So, potentially, this is the Hornets rotation next season?

PG: Vasquez/Rivers
SG: Gordon/Xavier Henry
SF: Aminu
PF: Davis/Anderson
C:  Jason Smith

You're right I don't like the Jeff Green contract, in a way it hampers the C's less because they weren't going to have much flexibility anyways with Rondo (and his future extension), KG, Terry, et all signed for the next three years.

New Orleans had a clean cap and tons of flexibility, Anderson costs them a big chunck of that for a good deal of the immediate future.
