I dont see Lewis making them much better. What he gives you in streaky shooting he takes away in defense. More Lewis equals less Battier or Haslem.

Perhaps he is just Bosh, Haslem, Battier insurance.

I think that is exactly what it is. I don't see him getting off the bench much there.

Cool... Ray and Rashard can team up on the bench for the good guys and help fight off the Thunder.  Doin it for Seattle!   And people said Ray wasn't loyal... hah!  How wrong they were!

Well playing in MIA might help, but Lewis has been awful as of late.

He shows the classic career arch, peaking in his late 20s, then rapid plateau/decline phase since.

Not a great look: http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/l/lewisra02.html

If you are a "supposed" celtics fan why so upset about OKC not being in Seattle anymore other than the fact you cannot catch anymore games there in person? Calling the Heat the "good guys" is basically sacrilege IF you are a celtics fan.

LET'S GO CELTICS!

Has Ray already signed his deal officially, or was it a verbal commitment? Maybe he dislikes Lewis enough to change his mind and realize what a ****-move he made, and takes the 2-yr deal.

Where is this Rashard / Ray feud stuff coming from?

I remember something along the lines of -- they weren't close, they weren't friends. I don't remember a feud but they didn't get along well with one another. A functional (professional) relationship but no friendship. That is my best recollection.
Oh, I never heard this.  I seem to recall Lewis crediting Allen quite a bit for helping him become a good player.

Yeah, but they don't need him to come off the bench much and when you are talking about a deep rotation type player, Lewis is a better 10th man (or whatever) than most teams have.

The time to beat Miami was their first two years, they are only going to get better and better until Wade starts to appreciably tail off due to age.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

And perhaps before they finally just gave in and played Bosh at C and went small.

This is true.  Lewis isn't anything special, he's not good, but he's yes great for your 10th man or so.

Miami can be beaten but with all these bandwagoners on discount it's getting harder.

It's always a good time to beat Miami.

Could care less about Lewis, he is washed up at this point of his career.

As if Seattle Supersonics fans needed more reason to root for the Heat.

Fixed that for you.

Don't really care about Rashard Lewis one way or the other; looks to me like he's mostly done.

Let's not just give Miami 2 or 3 more rings just yet.  Even with the injury to Bosh, they couldn't have asked for a better path to the title than what they got this year.  NY loses Amare to injury, DRose goes down with an injury, Boston loses 4 of their top 10 players at the start of the season to injury, Thunder clearly not ready for their moment in the spotlight.

Rashard Lewis can still ball, don't let his bad contract cloud that and the fact he played for Washington. He will be plenty motivated and get a ton of open shots playing in Miami.

The rich get richer, I'm not even gonna lie I'm bitter as hell lol they just keep getting better.
