How long until Miami amnesties Mike Miller?

The cost of those luxury tax payments vs the value of his on-court value has surely swung against him now that Rashard and Ray-Ray are on board.

Is it too late for them to do so this season? What is the cut-off date? Next year, perhaps?

Next week is the deadline for amnesty decisions, I believe.

I'm actually shocked they haven't done it yet. He's useless to them now. Maybe they believe he will retire?

I think Mike Miller retires, no better way to go out then how he did.

Rashard Lewis by playoffs will start PF.
Think of this end of game lineup:

Wade
Allen
James(or Battie)
Lewis (or James)
Bosh

Thats 6 people who can drop 15+ points on any given night. Scary.

Who would of thought 5 years ago that James/Wade/Bosh/Allen/Lewis/Battie would all be on the same team.

On another note, I wonder if JO is going to sign with Miami. Remember all those rumors before the playoffs? I really wouldnt mind having him for the vet min to play behind KG for 15-20min a game as crazy as that sounds.

Miami needs help up front, they don't have any bangers so they'll still struggle against the LA's and Pacers.  Rashard Lewis signing = pointless.

Has Ray already signed his deal officially, or was it a verbal commitment? Maybe he dislikes Lewis enough to change his mind and realize what a Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.-move he made, and takes the 2-yr deal.

Wishful thinking that he would reverse it, I would not want him now after his actions.

They don't care as long as Lebron and Wade are healthy.

Everybody is assuming Heat are gonna be scary after signing Allen and Lewis. If it was those two in their prime back in Seattle I would agree. Every year they play their stats have been slowly going down.

I know they took limited roles but isn't that why they signed to the Heat? LeBron and Wade will take most of the minutes for SG and SF which are their natural positions. Sure Wade can play PG and LeBron play PF but both Lewis and Allen will hurt the defense. Great offense but their defense will take a hit when they are on the floor.

PP
RR
KG
JET
AB
JG

All can score 15+ on any given night.  Maybe Sully too.  And Lee. Battier can score 15 I suppose, but prior to the Finals he scored more than 15 twice all season.

Where is this Rashard / Ray feud stuff coming from?

I remember something along the lines of -- they weren't close, they weren't friends. I don't remember a feud but they didn't get along well with one another. A functional (professional) relationship but no friendship. That is my best recollection.

I dont see Lewis making them much better. What he gives you in streaky shooting he takes away in defense. More Lewis equals less Battier or Haslem.

Perhaps he is just Bosh, Haslem, Battier insurance.
