Stiemsma: Likely leaving Boston
Krstic: International
Camby: NYK

Can we sign Wilcox? Do we trust Melo? Is there somebody else?

I was really counting on Camby or Krstic...

That was funny.

Between Hollins, Wilcox, Sullinger, and whatever spot minutes Melo can give us this season we probably have enough to hold the fort.

It was likely that we'll see a lot of smal lineups with Green at the 4 and Bass at the 5 anyhow.

But do we want to hold the fort or do we want banner 18?

My alternative suggestion would be to discover the Fountain of Youth and sign Bill Russel. It's as likely as finding a better solution on the market anyway.

Just post in another thread, but I think at the vet min .. . we're likely choosing from the likes of Hollins, Greg, Curry, Kwame and Krylo. Even then, a number of those guys can expect to get a bit more than the min elsewhere due to the dearth of centers available.
I'd like to see Krylo perhaps. Curry lost weight and is still young, so maybe he's worth a flier? Kwame is a known commodity. Does he want to be on a good team for a change?

It's not like we haven't done it before.

Can't we sign some dude in Spain or Greece or anywhere Euro like Dallas is doing.

Could be cheap...

I think with the free agents we have been going after you can expect a ton of small ball. It would be nice to have a true center other than Fab but I'm not sure it happens.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

The team needs an alternative to those lineups. Even if only a third string center.

Someone with a physical presence in the paint who can be called upon for 10-15mpg against teams like the Lakers with Andrew Bynum or the Nets if they get Dwight Howard. Someone that can come in and bang in the post and give some hard fouls. Physical toughness.

Jamaal Magloire offers that. Someone that doesn't need to play every game and will accept a third string role but will keep himself ready to perform when called upon. Good locker room presence also.

The team liked Hollins at times, last season. Doc pointed out on occasions during the playoffs that the Hollins/Garnett combination was their best defensive lineup.

The problem is that Hollins is so wild at times that any team would be hard pressed to field him consistently as a rotation player. He's got some tools: moves well, boxes out, generally knows where to be defensively. Also, Rondo can mask his offensive deficiencies by finding him for easy hoops. Even so, I'm not sure he brings enough to be signed, but he's probably the best spare part from the scrap heap.
