Memphis doesn't want to add salary reportedly because they would be paying tax , so they get Moore and Williams and 2nd round pick, the Wolves pick , they waive Moore and Williams.

Rockets  get JJJ, Dooling s&t and 3 million .

Boston gets OJ Mayo sign and traded.

Reasoning behind this trade :

Rockets wants a 1st rounder (probably) for Lee, if we gave them JJJ and Dooling for free for 1 year (3 million )they give up nothing.

Memphis gets assets for Mayo instead of walking for nothing, they give up nothing.

Boston, Mayo has more upside than Lee and Ainge gets another chip.

Thoughts ? I may be wrong with numbers, does Memphis need to get more money back to send out Mayo ? I know the Rockets can take JJJ and Dooling.

In general I'd rather have Lee than Mayo but if Lee cost us a first and Mayo didn't that would swing the needle towards Mayo.

You should add Idea to the front of your thread to remove confusion.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

There, edited  ;)

Now on a serious note, does this trade make sense ? I know the Rockets wouldn't mind geting JJJ for nothing and Dooling for free.

Boston does this too.

Would Mayo do it? Didn't he block the trade last march to go to Boston ?

Would Memphis want/get another 2nd rounder and must they take on more salary ? Or could Boston give less to Dooling to make numbers work ?

I'd say this deal has potential and might work out for all sides.  But one important thing to consider is that OJ Mayo will be looking for a big contract on the open market.  If he doesn't find one, he would be more interested in something like this.

A sign and trade would need: Boston to find it worthwhile, Memphis to find it worthwhile, Houston to find it worthwhile, OJ Mayo to choose Boston, Boston to be the high bidder (or close to it) for Mayo.

I like it a lot, but too many ifs to call it realistic.  Houston, for instance, at least for the moment, needs cap space for the Lin and Asik offer sheets.

After watching the summer league i am more on the boat of putting Moore and J3 on the trading block now. Of course i want to see what they can do today but I was a little disappointed in their performance. With that being said I have 0 problem with your trade .

There are other options as well to replace the Rockets as a 3rd team, Pistons,Cavs and Kings.

If this deal would goes through Bostons outgoing salaries 5.462.967 and incoming salary (Mayo) would be 8.194.451.

Same here.  Courtney Lee is a high quality person as well as good player.

Mayo is a sketchy person, below average player at his position with very good talent.
