People thought Bradley was a bust until midway last year.  Way too early on JJJ.  He has everything you'd actually want in a role playing big except bulk.  He can hit a jumper, finish around the basket, defend, and rebound.  If he gets confidence (as others have said) then he should at least be a rotation big man in the league.  Maybe he can be more.

Moore might have potential to be a shooter off the bench.  I don't know what ever made people think he was going to be anything more.  Maybe Danny's had too much good fortune with second rounders.  If he can end up being a poor man's Eddie House, then we'll have done alright for the second round.

Moore was the 55th pick in a weak draft.  He helped out in a couple of games in the regular season.  I don't know that the expectations for him should have ever been high enough for him to be a bust, even if that's all he does in his career.

I do like Johnson, and think he can be a rotational player, but he needs to pick it up, no question about it, and certainly he's at a risk of not having his option picked up next season.

What happened to JJJ putting on 10-15lbs of muscle in the offseason? He looked like he was the same size as last year to me. I was expecting him to play a little more physical too. You gotta want to fight down low and make a name for yourself in the trenches if your gonna be a PF in this league which im assuming is his natural position due to lack of handle and lateral quickness he would need to be a three.

It's way too early to call JJJ a bust and you can't make you conclusions based on the summer league.

E'twaun in my opinion won't be on this team once the season starts. He isn't athletic enough to create his own shot in the league consistantly and he definitely isn't a point guard. He really struggled with the ball in his hands. Like others said he was thr 55th pick in the draft so, I personally wasn't expecting anything from him.

I think it's about 8:30 on the Jujuan Johnson clock.

Does that mean his time is about to pass or that he's just getting started?

he's not done, but his time to show something is about 3/4 over

I'm not sure a guy picked late in the second round can ever be a "bust".

As for Johnson, he's shown some flashes.  I doubt he'll ever be a great player, but I do think he can contribute a bit in the NBA.  His issue will be finding opportunities.

Etwaun can not have the bust label as he as picked late in the 2nd.

In some extent, JJJ cannot be labeled one as well as a lot of late 1st has not been productive and/or journeymen "just to complete the roster" players.

And I know this topic has been discussed many times and I hate to bring it up. But still, the issue here is if MarShon Brooks pans out and JJJ doesn't. That one would be the stinger.

Nope. Bradley is still two years younger (21) than these guys are now (23).

The relevant comparison will be Bradley in two years with where these guys are now.

I'll go out on a limb and say that the Avery Bradley of two years from now will be better than the Moore and Johnson of today.

I am not going to label them busts yet but they were in a very unfortunate situation of being seniors in the lockout year meaning they were deprived of a summer league, Celtics workout facilities, Celtic coaching and mentorship from Pierce, Rondo, and KG for six long months. Then there was no time for practice which left them for mop up and spot duty. This is make or break season for them but really they are rookies and that works against them for getting floor time in the regular season. If we can acquire someone else for these two, it might be beneficial to all parties concerned.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

He's 6'11"....15 lbs is roughly less than 3 ounces per inch....

Who would notice?

too early yet to call them busts.  I like JJJ's efforts early on the boards yesterday.

give them the rest of summer league and an actual training camp to see how they do.

I had initial reservations about them prior to them being drafted since Big 10 players tend to be vastly overrated (I have the same concerns about Sully) and don't tend to make much of themselves in the NBA.  I'm still hoping they pan out, JJJ especially, but I'd be a bit concerned if they haven't shown some reasonable progress by the start of the season.

Ithought he was 6'10" but your right i guess. Probably pretty hard to notice. But there was that whole thread a little while ago dedicated to all the work he's done in the offseason and all the weight he put on. I guess i was just expecting to see a little more there.
