Wow I just can't believe we could have had both Marshon Brooks and PJ3 on the Celtics.....

I can, neither of those guys would get minutes on this squad.

Right...especially when we're desperately trying to get a solid SG at the moment

If we are judging everything by this summer league today, Joseph is far better than Brooks.

We will see.  Relax.  Not a big Brooks fan personally he's a chucker.

Either I'm just trying to compensate for Ray leaving or JET is an upgrade.

Based on the two quarters.
Johnson has been good on the boards, but the guy needs to bulk up.
Etwaun needs to pass the ball.
Sullinger has ben good so far.
Kris Joseph has been way better than ive expected!
Fab just sucks.
meh, its one half. could be just nerves at this point. give the kid a chance before we start digging his grave.

Danny should have known better.
You dont pick because of need. You pick based on the talent left on the board. Fab is too RAW.

Thats exactly what they did. They had Melo ranked higher on their board. Believe it or not NBA teams don't pick players based on the medias rankings or your perception of a player.

Can't judge big men in this league. It's a SG/SF's league- run and gun, point guards all trying to prove they can score- look at Etwaun and Reggie Jackson, both being heros.
Melo can't get a touch in the post and the spacing is just horrible.

I repeat- please don't take these games too seriously, particularly when judging big men who are fresh out of college.

I mean it's not like people on Celticsblog to overreact right?  :P

I have always wondered what the point of these leagues is, since big men are pretty much ignored.

It could be an upgrade since Terry brings more to the table than Allen.

If you pick based on talent alone, then Perry Jones should have been picked instead of Sullinger.
Sure the Celtics picked Melo because they liked him, and there is nothing to do now. I just hope that this mistake doesnt bite them in the future.

Based on two quarters?  You guys are spending WAY too much time on this already.  My plan is to just read this game thread at work and pass judgements on all players based soley on everyone's CB posts.

As such, I'm convinced JJJ needs to eat more mcdonalds, Moore should go back to Italy, Sullinger is a keeper, and Melo is worse than Ala Albdelnaby ever was.

The rest of summer league may now be canceled.

Terry is a far better offensive weapon than Ray. Ray isnt what he has been (Seattle days).

A glorified practice. Not the best place to judge big men.

Personally I like the high value pick in Melo as compared to PJIII.  I think we have PJIII on the roster.  His name is Jajuan Johnson.

Different type players.
