I would love to get Courtney Lee, just for the awesome nickname.

Our bench back-court duo would be JET-Lee!

Another undersized shooting guard. I'll take Peaches over Lee.

Lee isn't undersized.  And he can shoot.  I like MP, but would rather have Lee.

Lee is a serious upgrade over Pietrus. Look, we all love Peaches and his passion for Boston, but C.Lee defends, hits threes, and doesn't have any lingering knee issues.

Pietrus is probably a better matchup against Lebron, but Lee is better overall, and obviously younger.
We'll have Green/Pierce for LeBron, Pietrus wasn't all that great against him this year or in the past.

I'd rather have Lee than Peaches, I just hope we get one of the two!

Yes. Would love to have Lee in the lineup. Very good defender and a spot up shooter for Rondo to kick out too. Let's please get it done.

He'd be great and is still young. Perfect backcourt partner for Rondo. Celtics should consider moving AB if required to get him.

I actually thought Marquis did a better job defending Lebron that Peaches. But Peaches did do well against Wade.

Lee would be cool. Gets my vote.

Camby would be even sweeter.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I'd love to add Lee's shooting to the C's. Let's see how good of a salesman Doc is.

is everyone gonna average 9 minutes a game?

PG: Rondo(35) Terry(13)
SG: Bradley(25) Lee(18) Terry(5)
SF: Pierce(25) Green (10) Pietrus(13)
PF: Bass(25) Sullinger(13) Green(10)
C: KG(30) Krstic(12) Melo(4)

Or something like that

I think Green is getting more than 20 minutes a game for 9 million.
Terry is getting more than 13 too. Swap Bass's minutes for Green at 20/25.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Doubt the money will be right w/o them doing a trade b/c we have absolutely NOTHING! I hope we find a way.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Paging Kevin McHale. Hook an old teammate up again.  Morey loves first round picks.  Send Houston a first and the Charlotte second if they agree to an S and T for Lee.  Send JJJ, Dools at $2.5m, Sean Williams' non-guaranteed deal and the picks and the Cs can pay Lee a hair under $6m per.  Send them $3m in cash to make it work.

4/$24m is about right for Lee.  Rondo, AB and Lee for under $18m combined is great value.

His entire interview with Paul Flannery sounds encouraging.

http://bb.weei.com/sports/boston/this-just-in/21212646/lee-more-eight-teams-pursuit

Take aways:
- he has a good relationship with Doc
- wants to win and think Boston is in a good position to do so
- doesn't seem interested in taking a discount (why should he, though?)
- it will come down to Danny getting creative with sign & trade

LEHGOCELTICS

The Celtics may need time before they reach agreement with another free agent. The best option they have to offer from here through the rest of the summer is their $1.7 biannual exception - not exactly an amount that will cause agents to speed dial Danny Ainge.

But Courtney Lee, the free agent guard who met with Doc Rivers Saturday night, pointed out today that the Celtics may have another option in their pursuit of him.

“Well, Houston loves getting draft picks, so that could open it up to a sign and trade (between the Rockets and Celtics),” the former Houston guard, who lives in Orlando, said today while watching an Orlando Summer League game. “That’s one possibility that the Celtics have.”

Lee, though, is admittedly not in a rush. He is talking to teams that have more than the Celtics can offer. But the Cs may have another inroad, thanks to Lee’s friendship with Rivers and his family.

“We’ll see where (the Celtics) are at,” said Lee. “But for the most part the meeting went well. Me and Doc have always had a good relationship since I’ve been in the NBA. I’m friends with both of his sons, Austin and Jeremiah. It was just a casual meeting between me and Doc.”

Well, not entirely casual.

“In this stage it’s a process, feeling out teams that have an interest in you,” said Lee. “I don’t have to make a decision right away. There’s a few teams out there that have interest.”

Though the Celtics are clearly still on Lee’s radar, they will probably have to wait, perhaps well into the summer, before their next move becomes clear.

“Nobody’s going for the biannual exception right now,” said one league general manager.

On the other hand, perhaps the sign-and-trade route is exactly the means for a player like Lee to become a Celtic.

JJJ+Moore+a pick?

Bradley should be playing at least 30 MPG.  Terry probably should be 20-25 minutes.  Terry should ideally playing near 25-30 MPG in the playoffs for us.
