The Magic and Nets are now exchanging medical records on Howard and Lopez, according to Woj.

I wonder how Orlando will respond when they see Lopez's medical records reveal a severe allergy towards rebounding.

Can we stop for a moment and acknowledge that, if the Nets actually pull this off, they will have effective traded Jordan Farmar, Johan Petro, Anthony Morrow, Jordan Williams, DeShawn Stevenson (via S/T), Kris Humphries (via S/T), Brooks Lopez, Damion James, and maybe MarShon Brooks for Joe Johnson and Dwight Howard? Yes, there's a ton of first-round picks going to Orlando, and, yes, Johnson and Howard aren't getting younger or cheaper. But how many of those traded players would you actually want to have on our roster period, let alone at their prices? I could see Lopez and Brooks for sure, and maybe Stevenson and Humphries and James. But the rest are absolute wastes of space. And even the ones we do like aren't worth anywhere close to what they're likely to be paid.

So, seriously, a tip of my cap to Billy King if he manages to pull this off, because while I hate it as a Celtics fan, I've got to admit that as a basketball fan that's a pretty darn impressive feat he'll have accomplished.

Magic and ATL got taken to the cleaners... Mage especially! Mage got scraps for DH... sad...
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Not that impressed when Howard holds all the cards. Like Melo he's going to get his cake and eat it too.

In current structure of deal, Orlando gets Brook Lopez, Damion James, Shelden Williams, Luke Walton and 3 or 4 1st rounders, sources tell Y!

If I was a Magic fan, I'd be throwing up right now.
Lol... I so hope it happens.  Magic fans are the ultimate punks.  Anyone remember that youtube video a couple years ago of the gloating Magic fans talking about how they were going to sweep our team of geriatrics?... then we went out and owned the Magic.  I had thought those two fans were an aberration... then I spent a little time on a Magic forum and realized they were all exactly like that.  Something about living in Disney World must make you obnoxious and perpetually delusional.

Joe Johnson is 31 and is due $19M/21M/$23M/$25M over the next four years.  Danny Ferry moved that contract and got a 1st round pick.  I think the consensus is that Ferry did a great job in moving the "unmovable" contract.

I think Atlanta won their trade for future flexibility alone.  That Joe Johnson contract was worth dumping.

What I don't get is Orlando.  Why not wait?  Maybe Dwight will add to his list of potential destinations and you will be able to get other offers.  It's not like this horrible offer will be taken off the table anytime soon.  Brooklyn will offer this same junk at the deadline.  What's the rush?
