With Ray Allen off to Miami, the Celtics are looking to add some pieces, and according to ESPN, they are now pursuing both Courtney Lee and Marcus Camby. The Celtics don't have room under the salary cap to sign either player, but they have told the Houston Rockets that they are willing to participate in sign-and-trade deals for both guys.

That would be a major move.

The New York Knicks and Miami Heat also are going hard after Camby, according to ESPN. So, a serious battle between Eastern Conference powers could be developing.

Lee is one of the most coveted guards left on the free-agent market, and Camby is a defensive stopper who can still contribute despite being 38 years old. The team's pursuit of Lee makes sense in the wake of Allen's departure, but Camby is a little surprising.

Nothing too surprising, but I like the idea of trying to get both of these guys.

Bleacher Report is mostly written by fans, so its a lot of conjecture and opinion without any legitimate sources. Our interest in C.Lee was reported by ESPN today, but I have yet to hear anything concrete about us and Marcus Camby. Last I heard, Miami and NY were the likeliest destinations for him.

Both would be huge acquisitions. I love them both from a depth perspective and Marcus Camby is still a pretty good rebounder.

Hopefully he finds it in his heart to wrap things up in New England.

I prefer ainge to s&t for terry and mahinmi, and get mayo with the MLE (Preferably B Rush although his restricted)

Camby, who is currently a free agent, has narrowed down his list of potential teams to six choices, one of which is the Boston Celtics, according to CSNNW.com. It would be huge to add Camby and Lee to our squad. I've been on the Camby wagon for many many years now and would love to see him come to his old college town and finish his career as a celtic. he can still defend the basket and is still one of the leagues best rebounders. Him alongside Garnett would be a scary duo in the paint on D.

Lee is a good shooter and is pretty decent on defense from what i know of him. He would add some great depth to the team... Now, how do we work out a sign and trade to pick up both of them? Thats the question.

Again, the only people you can S&T are people who were on the team to end last season. Kristic can not be sign and traded... it's been said MANY times in nearly every thread since Ray left.

rockets could buy out dooling and keep the picks plus jjj and etwaun if they wanted to.

etwuan and sean are not guarrenteed if there off the roster before the end of summer league

and i doubt the rockets would want bass, as they drafted 4 yes 4 power forwards in the last 3 drafts, plus they have scola.

plus we already agreeded to sign bass, can't see ainge backing out, would tick off the agent and player which you don't want to do.
