So you're mad at Ray because he went to best chance to win instead of taking the most money?

He's not a Celtic for life. If he's going to be fourth banana - he'd rather be fourth banana for a championship team and know he can plan out the last three years of his career around it.

but, the celtics ARE a contender next year most likely...its not like ray left a losing situation and went to somewhere he could win.

ray has a ring, the Celtics were one quarter away from going to the NBA finals.

ray isnt going to be 4th bananna on Miami..I seriously doubt they are going to change their whole offense around to create plays for a 37YO shooting guard...hes going to play the role of mike Miller

if winning a title taking 4-5shots a night as a glorified Mike Miller is what ray wants...then I guess I question is competitive nature..

I don't believe in karma.  He will probably benefit and win a ring or two or even three from this but the people of Boston will now hate him.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Maybe Ray signing in Miami is related to the karma of repeatedly almost trading him?  I guess it all depends on whose point of view you're taking.

Trade talks are part of the business. Everyone else had said it, but mostly everyone was involved in trade talks. 'Quis GOT TRADED and still choose to sign here the next year. As a professional like he is, with a semi poor performance and an expiring contract and a need for his skills, of course he'll be trade bait.

Ray joined the Heat for less money and less playing time just to stick it to Danny, Rondo and the C's. That would warrant karma.

BTW. How do I put pics on my sig like you have Sir Roy?

He basically decided to flush down the toilet his Celtic legacy. As if to say 'screw that, I don't need that crap'.

Sadly this is probably what will happen.
