Good, i don't want any of the "we wish him the best, we respect his decision" crap. He shouldn't have left, keep it simple.

Yes. I hope this just adds fuel to the fire for the rest of the team.

Going back to my original post.  I just really think it's important to stress some of the lifelong bonds that these players have.  I remember a few months ago Cedric Maxwell was talking about KG on the WEEI.  He specifically stated how nothing replaces the quality time spent with some of your best teammates.  As Cedric said (I'm paraphrasing), "Walking away from the game of basketball isn't what's difficult.  It's leaving behind all of your teammates and players that you've had so many good times with".

This is what hurts the most about seeing Ray bolt to Miami.  I realize that he has always isolated himself in comparison to Pierce and KG, but I didn't know that he was capable of walking away from the best teammates anyone could ask for.

I don't care about all of the BS reasons that some have used to justify Ray's decision.  When it's all said and done will it really matter if Ray was going to be a 6th Man who lost some minutes to Avery Bradley?  Or will the rocky relationship with Rodno matter when he reflects on the memories in Boston?  It might p--- him off right now but it's just doesn't add up.  I agree with Doc.

Doc is too smart to say anything revealing. But deep down his green blood is probably boiling.

Probably boiling about how many hoops Ray wanted them to jump through in order to retain a 37 year old backup sg.

Wait until Doc breaks out Absolute Zero to defend Ray...he'll never get a shot off.

Ray did not sign yet. Only verbal deal.

Didn't David West offer BOS a verbal? We all know how THAT turned out.

So could Ray possibly return?

C'mon guys. Time to move on.

Seriously.  The bridge wasn't only burned it was blown into smithereens.

Riiiiigghhtt.

So you're saying that if the door is open for Ray Allen to change his mind, you wouldn't want his three-pt threat back?

I have some ocean front property in Oklahoma to sell you, too....

I'm saying I don't want him back, I have said for a while now I didn't want him to stay. I like Ray a lot but I felt it was time to move on from him and the offense we chose to run to accommodate him. I don't blame Ray for how we ran the offense but I hated that we ran it. I wanted him to leave but not to Mia! I hate them and the Fakers, I feel like Ray betrayed Us and his teammates (not management)... he had the right and I don't begrudge that but it is a slap in the face to go to the enemy, plain and simple! I'm not even worried he makes them better because we already lost to them PLENTY of times w/o him with them! I honestly just don't like him being on the enemy, I don't care about him playing well for them AT ALL! I already wanted Us to beat them but even more so now, just to say that Ray made the wrong decision and to make them winning the chip seem like a fluke... I pray that we bounce them out (even if we don't win the chip) all 3 of his years in Mia!!! LET'S go CELTICS!!!!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Not really. They tried to work out a sign and trade, they couldn't manage it in time, and the Pacers made him a good offer he couldn't risk waiting for the S&T to go through.

Was not matter of tthe time. West decided to go to Pacers in last minutes

Because West couldn't afford to wait, we couldn't get anyone to take on JO.

So yes, time did factor in. Was this the only reason? Probably not, but the way I see it, it was the main one. We had been days I think trying to get something done without much to show for it, and money on contenders dry up very quick, he had to make the decision, and he chose Pacers, which he then rationalize it the way he did to the media, etc.

But, without a sign and trade in place, we couldn't have an agreement with West, it was all dependent on that and it never materialized.

He's done as a Celtic. I've already moved on.

agreed. however I'll bet KG will crucify him either privately or maybe even publicly before this whole thing is over. I think Ray p---ed off not just teammates but friends.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

Does anyone think that Ray might be insecure and overly sensitive

Yes. ...although, living a cold-war with someone really sucks. I can see wanting to get out of a situation where he just did not feel able to speak to a co-worker. And, let's be honest - Rondo is the alpha dog now. He's not getting traded.

...still, for reasons I've described, I think we really dodged a bullet  by not signing him.

O.K., What?!! Ray Allen just joined the Miami Heat?!!! What?!!  When it really hits me, that's all I can say. What?!!

He didn't like Rondo, he didn't like the trade rumors, they didn't cuddle him as much as they cuddled KG, he didn't feel wanted, he wants the team built around him, Avery Bradley is stealing his minutes.

What?!!!  Ray Allen just joined the Miami Heat?!! What?!!! Not, got traded to the Miami Heat, or got sent to the Miami Heat . . . Joined, yes, joined the Miami Heat?!!!  What?!!!

But, it's all right, Ray, we understand.  No, I absolutely do not understand.

He joined the Miami Heat . . . while the wounds haven't quite healed yet.  What?!!!
