Does anyone think that Ray might be insecure and overly sensitive about changing his role? I personally think that he's convinced himself that the role he plays in Miami is somehow different and more important than his role in Boston would have been. Let's be real though. He still would have been closing out games and on the floor when big shots needed to be taken.
Would Ray feel the same way if he was looking at himself through another set of eyes?
I feel like Ray is convincing himself that grass is greener on the other side, despite the fact that he probably tarnished some life long relationships that he would have had with KG, Paul and Doc. Does anyone think that Ray will have the same level of camaraderie with LeBron and Wade. I highly doubt it and hopefully Ray doesn't have an easy ride to a championship. My gut tells me that he might end up regretting the decision when he has time to reflect in a few years.
Right now Miami is just a new destination that he probably perceives as an amazing opportunity to add to his storied career.
First underlined portion - nope, not even close.
Second - Sadly, I think he will regret (especially after he's on the receiving end of a BOS upset). But at this point in his career he not only made the choice for him - but for his family.
He wanted stability for his family as well. No more trade rumors....no more wondering....no more trade scenarios.
Danny offered that to him AT THE END

......not at the beggining.
I have a feeling that Pat Riley offered him some incentives that made him feel more secure right up front.
