Pietrus, everything about the guy screams Celtics. Is it possible for a team under the cap to sign and trade him back to us for a 2nd rounder + cap filler? That would be awesome.

No, you can't sign and trade other teams' free agents.

See this is what I dont understand. So Pietrus is the Celtics free agent but they cant offer him a contract more than 120% of his previous salary because of no bird rights. Why is Pietrus the Celtics free agent, wouldnt he just be a free agent with no ties to any team?

He's kind of both. He's a free agent with ties to no team, meaning if he signs with another team the Celts can't match the teal and keep him, but he's the Celts free agent in that they can sign him to 120% of his last deal even if they're over the cap.

Pietrus, we need wing help...and if bradley's recovery takes longer you can start peaches and bring Terry off the bench.

lets not forget Pietrus was injured in the playoffs which lead to his dropoff...if healthy he should revert back to his 40% from 3 medium.

When in gods name was Pietrus a 40% 3 point shooter, let alone calling that level his median?

He is a good vet, streaky shooter that plays hard. Takes some terrible shots when lanes are there to get to rim, but that is what you get.

Lets not pretend that he is a REALLY good solution to our current needs. He is A solution and seems like a good teammate. But I would be ecstatic if we could find a better player and they are out there. Just dont know if we can sign any.

I still can understand ray reasons (almost traded to memphis, rondo affair etc), but greg is way more traitor than allen. He was taken by ainge from nowhere, we gave him the chance to play... Doc used him very well in our rotation, gave him a lot of oportunities... Stiemsma was absolutely nobody. Now he is saying he want go elsewhere?

Leave greg,  don't like these kind of player. I prefer have wilcox and/or krstic

P.s. Everybody seems to forget krstic dominated euroleae last year. He was a legit center of a contending team (thunder), played good offense while was with us... Would be wonderful to have him as a backup center.

TP.  I love the line about us "forgetting" that he dominated the Euroleague last year.  I'm guessing most of us haven't actually seen his stats and analyzed his PER and his +/- from the Turkish Airlines League.  It's not like we forgot.  We never knew.

Also, I liked the joke about Stiemsma.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Looking at strictly shooting guards, my order would be:

1. Courtney Lee
2. Kirk Hinrich
3. Pietrus
4. Gerald Green

Lee is a solid defender and can shoot pretty well too, I would love to grab him. He shut Ray down in the playoffs as a rookie.

I consider OJ Mayo out of our range, at least with the BAE.

Lee is certainly ready to play Celtic defense NOW. So he'd be my first option if im Ainge, however, i wouldn't be opposed to kicking the tires on Green again. He showed me a lot at the tail end of the year. Maybe he has a rebirth for us next season. That would be sweet redemption. Especially in the light of ray leaving in the manner he did.
