If the Cs want to play ball with Miami and get Ray Allen more money, they can take back James Jones and Norris Cole, and Ray can get $5.5m per year.  Boston can send a #2 back Miami's way if need be.

Ainge should have gotten something for Allen when he had the chance at the trade deadline.

LOL at the if Avery Bradley was healthy comment we'd be hanging 18. If Bosh was healthy, the Heat win the series in 5. If we get by the Heat the Thunder have their way with us. Face it boys the Heat have the East on lock. 3 of the best bball players in the world are on the same team and now you have legit former all stars taking far less money to join them.

in your opinion. I'll take Kenny Smith's opinion. he said if we had Green we would have won. Heck we almost won anyways....now imagine if we had Bradley, etc.

HUH? Imagine if the Heat had Bosh the whole series. What happened after Bosh game back and actually played starters minutes. It was over. You are hype that we were beating the Heat who was a fairly limited team with 1 of their big 3 out.

I hate that its true but the Heat are getting ready to go on a title run and Ray knows it. Hes hoping to pick up 3 more rings before calling it a career.

I'm pretty sure he factored in bosh...he was not the factor you think with Lebron and wade taking so many shots. maybe rebounding wise. Don't underestimate our guys either. Did you factor in all the guys out for us and all the guys playing hurt compared to Miami? Again, I'll take a pro basketball players opinion here in Kenny Smith. Look it up if you do not believe me.

yep. agree. DA seems to have smelled bad blood early on after failed trade. should have made something happen afterwards so we did not lose him for nothing. oh well. C'est la vie!

Miami losing Chalmers would be nice. Good idear.

Miami also has what, Philly's 1st rounder next year? That could be mid-round or better.

How about we fire up the ol' sign-and-trade engine and run this past Cuban and Riley:

Allen-->Miami
Chalmers-->Dallas
Terry-->Boston

Miami and Boston get to keep their MLEs. Dallas, floundering around in the PG market, gets a year of Chalmers with an option for 2013/14.

Anyone? Anyone?

That would make this awesome.

That would ease some of the pain. C's could use the MLE on someone like Camby.

As other people have said, the anger/hate a lot of us are feeling is because it's Miami. Miami is the EXACT opposite of Boston. Miami is not a sports city. It's a place to go on vacation. Real sports cities are Boston, Philly, Chicago, New York, NJ, etc. Miami is a place where you put on a shameful celebration when you sign LeBron and Bosh...a celebration before you win even one game. When the Celtics got the Big 3, they merely had a press conference, which is what usually happens when you sign a big-named free agent. Miami is Pat Riley, with his greased back hair and Jersey Shore tan. Boston is Red.

Ray Ray played his heart out these last 5 years. Without him we wouldn't have won #17. Does that mean I won't boo him when he plays against us? Heck no. And he should know that there will be repercussions whenever he comes back up here. We offered him more money and a no-trade clause and he still left. He must really hate Rondo.

Anyways, have fun in Miami, Ray. You must be looking so much forward to having Erik Spoelstra as a coach, huh? He's definitely a step-up from Doc. Shameful Ray. And when you don't get enough touch's because of LeBron, Wade and Bosh, don't complain. Up in Boston you were "someone" to both the team and the fans. Down in South Beach...well, think again. You're an old man in a young man's city.

Later Jesus...no wonder why La-La left you.

I was thinking Mayo and resign Kristic. But that's only because I have a weird belief in Melo/Sully/JJJ

Would the C's had made that gutsy run if he had though? Would Ainge had chosen to blow it up?

And leave Miami the ability to add another piece? No thanks. Fill that money slot with Krystic bird rights and use the mini to get another wing.

I was wondering the same, too.

But, I think I might prefer to let Ray walk than let Miami recoup the only non-minimum offer they could extend to a free agent. Let them spend that single bullet.

LOL I could careless what Kenny Smith said. You realize for every Kenny Smith there was 100 former players who said the Celtics were badly outmatched with Bosh? I mean seems totally silly for you to be quoting Kenny Smith like hes Jesus Christ.

Fact is the Heat are the NBA champions. They are favored to repeat. We now have a very old team. We got even older bringing in Jason Terry. Is it possible we beat Miami in a series? Sure. However, for that to happen we better be hoping for Miami to have more injuries and I'm not willing to do that. I don't wish injuries on anyway.

Furthermore, even if you want to believe the Celts beat the Heat with Avery Bradley (which I don't but lets agree to disagree) the Thunder STILL would have ran them off the floor. Don't let the Thunder having matchup issues with the Heat fool you they were and are a VERY GOOD NBA team.

  Huh? Imagine if Bosh and Bradley had been healthy for the whole series. It would have looked eerily like the regular season meetings...

Seriously...

And I think the Heat are a better team but get off of it saying we get basically swept.  No chance.

Bosh missed 4 games in the ECF. Boston was missing Bradley, the guy who should have been their first SF off the bench, Jeff Green, and two veteran bigs, JO and Wilcox.  They were forced to play big minutes with bums like Steamer and Hollins, D League quality bigs.

If both teams had all the players they expected to have in the ECF, it's not too unrealistic to think that Boston would have beaten the Heat.  If Game 2 was reffed properly, the Cs would have won also.
