The deterioration of Ray Allen's relationship with Rajon Rondo played a significant factor in his leaving for Miami, several sources tell Y!

While it's true the core of this basketball team will not survive the summer -- if you really think Ray Allen is returning, then you haven't been paying attention -- the Celtics still possess a valuable asset that seems to have been forgotten amid the static of a demoralizing Game 7 Eastern Conference finals loss.

I had a feeling Ray was gone this whole time so I'm not that shocked about this. Still sad.

Ray must have vented to her...

The deterioration of Ray Allen's abilities lead to this not being that big a deal.

and yet boston still offers him the most money, but he's gotta be a punk ass and join the cHeat.

What a little baby wahhh..

KG was offered for Josh Smith

PP was offered for the Nets lottery pick

yet Ray is the only one with hurt feelings

See ya old man

Make an unreasonable contract demand thus making it easier to justify moving to Miami. PR 101.

3yr 27m? Hahahahahahahahahaha!

As much as it is an over-pay for Green, I'd rather him get that money than Allen.  Green might very well be getting that contract.

I have to give Danny props.

This definitley makes Ray a hired gunner.  Asks C's for 3 times what Miami can give.  Dirt Bag.

Right decision for Ray. Right decision for Cs. Can't wait for the hugs between Ray and Rondo after the Cs eliminate the Heat in the playoffs...Hmmm Rondo probably won't hang then either.

Ray didn't want to be here. If he wanted 3/27 from us with a no-trade clause, but was willing to take $3m/year from Miami, that tells you what you need to know. Ray Allen was one of the great Celtics from 2007-2012. Beyond that, he should be hated by Celtic fans.
