If this is true, then Rondo/AB/Jet had better not let Ray bite us in the behinds next time we play.

I hate the move for Ray to Miami.

But lets be real, despite our hate for the Heat.

LeBron = better teammate and player than Rondo. Despite his Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.baggery. He decided to go play with the best player and not have a guy who gets under his skin on the court.

It hurts to say but its true. Rondo doesnt give a crap about Ray. And thats good now that he's gone. But I cant get mad at Ray for not wanting to play with him.

Ray NEVER fit the profile of KG, Pierce and Rondo. Even Perk. They were all tough minded dudes. He fits down there with the guys in Miami.

and this is OFFICIALLY rondo's squad...rondo didn't want ray back at all...rondo will play better with terry to be honest

4th quarter line up:

Rondo
Jet
PP
KG
Green

Um what?  Green at the 5?  No.

Clutch time will probably feature whoever is hot or the matchup dictates between Bradley and Terry.  Both are way too small to play the three, even in a small lineup.

Rondo - Bradley/Terry - Pierce - Bass - KG

Bass isn't a spectacular defensive player at the 4, but he's underrated and certainly passable.  But most importantly is he stretches the floor and is a clutch FT shooter.  Other than that, KG/PP/RR are obviously not coming out.

Ray did the right thing, he needed a shot to win the title, I'll cheer him despite him being hated in Boston now. This is the right move...can we get out of our commitments for KG and Terry? We need to shoot for the #1 pick and rebuild not try and deal with the Heat...the era is OVER!!! The sooner everyone acknowledges it the better this franchise will be...

BLOW IT UP!

well danny boy...you better go get a SG ASAP...because right now you have exactly one healthy one on the roster
Actually I don't think they'll rush out and grab the first SG they can find - unless they feel there's a long term fit.  One thing about the NBA is it's easy to find 2's plus we already have Terry.  I think Danny will take his time till he can bring in the right guy.

At this point, is there a sign and trade that can be worked out with Miami? James Jones could be useful here in a limited capacity. Plus, his contract would be easy to trade come the deadline...

And the truth is....Terry is an upgrade.

Did you really expect Ray to FIGHT for 20 mins a game? Not only did he passed over once (Bradley) he got passed over TWICE (Terry).

Its over. The Celtics will be better because of it.

We're just all upset because he fits the Heat so well.

The only way Ray makes a meaningful impact against us is if Lebron and Wade are already destroying us.  He's going to be completely dependent on them and in the half court offense will never do anything besides camp out behind the 3 point line.  Which will be a win for the Heat since we'll have to guard him instead of flood the lane, but he won't make any statistical impact.

Ray is 100% dependent on flawless execution, multiple screens, and perfect passes to get off a quality shot.  The Heat can not do that, which has always been their greatest flaw- half court offense.

Ray Allen considered Pat Riley's presentation the past two days in Miami as "incredible," source says. "They sold him in every way."
