Don't blame him for wanting to play for a contender.  He has a far greater chance of winning a title (and getting significant minutes) in Miami.

Boston tried shopping him multiple times and thought they had him traded at the deadline for OJ Mayo.  Apparently he doesn't get along with Rondo.  Oh well.

Good luck, Ray.  Beat the Thunder.  (Btw, my friends in Seattle are thrilled that Ray is playing for the good guys)
ROFL.............contender?????

we are a contender....Miami is not a contender they are the reigning champs and are the team to beat in the east right now. We are a contender along with chicago.....maybe a couple other teams...
beat the thunder?

So you are giving up already that Boston has any chance???? wow...just wow......

I know I expected Ray to leave, but this sucks. Ray Allen, next to Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Spolestra. This just sucks.

I'm not Angry with Ray. He's free to do what he wants. He was basically a gun for hire the last year or 2. He was trade bait a number of times. And now its time to hire a different gun.

I am quite sad though. Ray is a class act, and brought a ton of great memories during his time in Boston.

This sums up my feelings too. The shoe is on the other foot for a change, and I can't begrudge Ray choosing his own path.

Deteriorating relationship with Rondo? The guy got all the 3-pointers he could handle!! Be a man and just go to work. Good luck getting more than 3 shots a game with Lebrondo.

Sad to see him go.

I am hopeful they will get "I am playing golf" Ray instead of "gym rat" Ray.

The reigning champion would be considered the favorite for the title, so your correction actually strengthens his point.

As Y! had reported, Allen was angry w/ near-trade to Memphis at deadline. Too much acrimony to get past. Off to Miami for less money.

Funny... watched the Larry Bird interview and he said he doesn't mind stars teaming up but role players that take big pay cuts to ride coat tails he hates and objects to.

Half the money...
