Could have them both, Randolph with BAE and Wilcox with vet's min. And Steamer looks like he's gone anyways. The boy looked ridiculously lost in the postseason.

Stiemer wasn't lost, he was hobbled with bad feet.  And as it is, he led the team in rebounding and block rates and FG% through the playoffs.  He's a smart player and a full preseason would do him a world of good.

Took the words outta my mouth..steimsma had a shortened season with really no training camp and had a hobbled foot most the season that prevented him from practicing, even Doc said steimsma didn't even practice and just played games.

Steimer is a smart player and a full training camp and regular practice would do him wonders. All he really needs to do is foul a little less and I think he could see a spike in minutes.

If Stiemsma doesn't get a long deal for significantly more than the minimum, it would make sense for him to stay with the Celtics and attain his Bird rights one year faster, even if it means taking a bit less per year.

Even if all Stiemsma cares about is money, he's better off signing with the Celts for less.

He will get national exposure with the Celts, and the opportunity to prove he can be a valuable contributor on a champion contender.

That would give him a much bigger payoff down the road.

This might be his only chance for his big contract.  He is already 26.  I would not blame him if he gets his overpayed big man contract this year and left.

I won't blame him either, but he won't lose much by waiting. 26 is young, and he doesn't rely on athleticism. If he stays reasonably healthy, he could play another ten years.

I'm just saying I hope he realizes that a good year in Boston boosts his value more than a good year in Minny.

Ah yes, being the 5th big man in a team's rotation is infinitely better for showcasing your value than possibly being the primary backup at Center for another team.

What?!?!? The T-Wolves have Pekovic and Milicic - a high-quality starting center and a very good backup center. And when they go small, Love plays center.

We have zero NBA-ready true centers on our team. Zero. Even if you count KG, he plays far fewer minutes than Pekovic and Milicic combined. And, he will almost certainly sit out more games than the much younger guys on Minnesota.

Sean Williams played that garbage game against the Heat and showcased himself a bit (and he was only just signed). I don't get the negativity.
