Searched Twitter and found a David Faulks, magician/mind-reader. Is this who you speak of?

well bass is getting 3 for 20 million

green prolly gets 4 for 32 ish IMO

My thought was he would get something around that. $40 mill is too much.

I don't think words would be enough to vent my anger at such a deal taking place. So here is a video.

3 years $20 million sounds more realistic.

  • It's what I do! It's who I am!
If true, that's quite an investment in a guy who will be a bench player for atleast next season, and is coming off of heart surgery.

Well, I'd prefer 4 year 32 million or something smaller than 4 years 40 million, but let's also not pretend that we're the ones cutting the check.  And it's not like 2 million more a year is going to financially decimate this team.

Again, it's not my preference, but if Green can prove to be at least a #3 guy on a title team, the deal would be pretty good.

I agree. Ainge has to speculate on someone taking over for Pierce soon. If he thinks Jeff Green is it, then he should go for it. It doesn't hurt that Green seems to be a good, smart guy who gets along very well with Doc.

I think I would be ok if the final year only had $1-2m guaranteed.  I wouldn't love it, but I wouldn't be as outraged as some on this board would be.

No way Green gets more years and a significant amount more per year than Bass. If thats true, I wouldnt even resign if I was Bass.

Green is coming off a major career altering surgery. He is far too risky to give such a lucrative deal to.

How exactly does Green's value increase 4 fold after heart surgery?
